I am specifically looking for the doorbell-ish sound he uses on his "Chakra Suite" album. It kind of sound like what they used on the "Mr. Rogers" TV show. Or maybe I am misremembering!
Anyway, I would like to find a VSTi that has a preset that covers it. Thanks if you can give a useful answer!
Do you know of a VSTi that can do the Steven Halpern sound?

Pretty much any FM synth should do the trick. FM is ideal for bell-like sounds. You could try out Dexed for example.

As stated above, it's defiantly a Rhodes electric piano.
From his web site: "The exquisite keyboard you hear is the legendary Rhodes electric piano"

There are sample libraries, as well as VST models. An FM version will not sound quite right. It will be thin and not have the right bell sound. Of course a real Rhodes would be the best.
