If they are NEVER in the key you want, then I'd advise some songwriting remedy.
Wave samples should not have a "tempo" or "key". They should be adabtable. Unless, of course, you are referring to wave loops. That's a whole different ballpark.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

And if you're talking wave loops, that's what things like ReCycle or Live were invented for;to transpose and/or change the tempo while keeping the loop sounding right.

What the bloody is wrong with wave samples? It's fine for single shots and can be used by all programs. I don't use loops. If i want to sample a drum break, I break it up (usually manually). Its not like any other format can change either key or tempo without changing both for loops.

I meant loops. Sorry.Chase wrote:What the bloody is wrong with wave samples? It's fine for single shots and can be used by all programs. I don't use loops. Hrm... well... to answer your question (though not providing much help), I guess a lot of people will use 'construction kits' which means that the loops are all in the same key and tempo.
If you're looking for a specific key and tempo, then it's time to roll up your sleeves and do some work.
Exception-- drum loops. Since they don't really have a 'key' (I know drums can be tuned, but that's another matter) it's just the tempo you have to worry about. And ReCycle, Dicer, eXT, etc. can all take care of that.

Ron, I saw that... and elaborated on what you were saying by pointing out to HIM (not to you, because I know you already 'get it') why we don't believe that he actually owns it.
Then I gave him some suggestions because hey-- he might actually shell out on one of those 2 worthwhile developers, putting some money into their pocket and starting him down the road to legit software usage.
Really, Ron....
