After playing with the expansion for a few days I agree with Eric and SLiC, it's a good price, huge amount of samples and patterns (to be fair, SLiC and me apparently work for WA so I guess we would say that, anyway

Value is of course relative- I thought Triaz was great value at £80- If it had been £200 I would have been far more critical...The first expansion did seem pricy to me when it first came out but its a lot of samples/work- this and the free player is almost Triaz 2!
I guess they could have spilt it in to 2 packs with half the stuff for 25 quid and people may have been happier- then bundle pack 1 and 2 for 40 quid and you have the full expansion.
I figure people wont have to wait long until its 50% off anyway- that software!

It's not that you don't get value for the money, I'm sure it's good value for the price. In my case it's that it's too much for me to spend right now for where my budget is at. That's why people are taking about smaller "bite-sized" releases that aren't as big an expense in one purchase. Just my 2c though, if your budget is in better shape than mine then get it.Uncle E wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 5:29 pm It’s super inexpensive considering how much it comes with. Well, there seem to be two arguments here: Some people just think it's 'too expensive', and some others ask for smaller packs. The latter is a valid argument, IMHO, and maybe something WA should consider. The former is just nonsense considering what you get. It's not just the samples, but it's a full expansion including presets etc. So it's more comparable with something like Maschine expansions than a sample pack. And with Maschine expansions, you usually get a couple hundred one shots, not 13k, for about 50 Euros. If you do the math, the Triaz expansion is fantastic value, even when compared to the super cheap sale price Maschine expansions go these days. Also, I think it's outstanding samples and presets that you get, much better than most of the competition.
Well, I am old enough to remember times when a "sample disc" cost much much more than this, so I think we're just spoiled these days, and the market is incredibly tough...

Hmm... having no luck to import own samples, even those who are described in the manual:
"Entire 3rd Party and User Sample Packs can easily be added to Triaz’s Sound Browser by dragging your Sample Pack folders into the “Triaz / User Samples” Folder on your Hard Drive. This folder can be found at the location you chose when installing the Triaz Content. [...] Example: Importing Wave Alchemy’s own ‘Synth Drums’ Sample Pack would automatically show the Drum Type buttons to the right as Kick, Snare, Clap etc, and the Drum Tag buttons as Classic, Deep, Heavy etc."

This will definitely be the final 'killer' feature, especially if it has any type of auto-tagging. Until then with Triaz and the expansion I have almost 30 000 drum samples and several hundred patterns to listen to...take me until Xmas to get through themCaine123 wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 8:28 pm until they add the feature to locate multiple user folders or something for sample import im waiting. such cumbersome process for such a plugin... waiting till black friday or xmas

It's not that disturbing for me besides the fact that you need double store your samples by copying them to the Triaz-folder.Caine123 wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 8:28 pm until they add the feature to locate multiple user folders or something for sample import im waiting. such cumbersome process for such a plugin... waiting till black friday or xmas
Anyway, I think this feature is somehow broken because no matter what I try ... Triaz does not see the samples.

Hi Elassi, you may be looking in the wrong place: EDIT. Sounds like you are opening the preset browser, not the sound browserelassi wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 8:36 pmIt's not that disturbing for me besides the fact that you need double store your samples by copying them to the Triaz-folder.Caine123 wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 8:28 pm until they add the feature to locate multiple user folders or something for sample import im waiting. such cumbersome process for such a plugin... waiting till black friday or xmas![]()

I've read the manual back and forth, tried all possible (sub-)folder-structures, copied single waves into the user folder, damaged & destroyed the refresh-button, re-started the DAW, switched off the computer, went out for a walk, petted a drooling dog, refrained from eating chocolate, ...

OK- Its definitely working for me- are you looking in/clicking the 'sound browser' that is in the drum section (aligned with the 'A' Drum) and has a dice and a folder icon? (I think cuppa above also mentioned this, its a common error- I know I made it at first!)elassi wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 9:39 pmDid anything.SLiC wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 9:18 pmHave you don the folder in folder thing? ie Folder 'drums' inside a folder ''kicks' , etc...this post explained it well
