Logic Ultrabeat best alterantives?

I've been hacking together ultrabeat replacements for a long time since I left Logic! I never found an all-in-one sequencer/sampler/synth that quite does it the same...
Reaper: Microtonic and Battery together. Microtonic is a great drum synth with a sequencer, the MIDI output can drive the next plugin and the audio gets mixed. (And in REAPER it is easy to re-route channels about).
Reason: Kompulsion (sequencer) or Redrum driving Kong. Setting it up with Redrum is a bit of a nuisance, but allows you to layer synth and sample without linking pads.
Bitwig: Drum Machine (similar to Ableton Live drum rack: each pad can have whatever chain you like. FM8 is a very good drum voice!) So far mostly with the clip launcher, but could drive with another sequencer...

I use Mulab and the built-in drum plugin (MuDrum) is the closest I've found, plus it allows you to add effects.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?
