Summing up, their packs should be same size and price per sample, perhaps smaller, perhaps cheaper. Stylistically they need to be processed and unprocessed, more general and more specialised.
And they can confirm this via a poll.
Easy!

Yeh, I think the Dev said that is what will happen for Revolution...I am just hoping there is at least a cross grade as I have it (and Drumvalution) for Live...same samples but in Live Rack. I think Triaz will get predominantly new samples as once they have the 'importer' we can just tag in their old sample packs (and I have quite o few of them!)Septic Underground wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 1:26 pm no a complete different non-kontakt version (plugin/standalone) of Revolution, filled with raw drummachine/box samples in kit-form

I think it would be great if they do some different stuff for Triaz- very experimental, electronic/sound effects/timpani etc. As good as it is I cant see me using Triaz for 'realistic' drums as I have SD3 for that type of thing.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

For Triaz it was a free upgrade for owners. I'm sure revolution etc would be the same.SLiC wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 1:40 pmYeh, I think the Dev said that is what will happen for Revolution...I am just hoping there is at least a cross grade as I have it (and Drumvalution) for Live...same samples but in Live Rack. I'd still like more vanilla kits in Traiz.
It's all a bit of a moot point though. I have many thousands of drum samples and usually need at most about 20 for any given track.

Agreed, I think there's all the drum samples I could want already in there, but would love for there to be more simple starting point kits. For example just having one for each of the sampled drum machines would be nice, as well as basic ones for synthwave, indie pop etc. Probably need to take the time to create a bunch myself.

I just discovered Triaz Player. It's apparently a lite version of Triaz with some of the more advanced features (import of user samples, sound browser, sequencer ...) disabled.
It's a great plugin and it showcases the basic functionality of Triaz. I loaded up one of the presets from the demo library and used some of the sound shaping options. Well, when I wanted to save the edited preset, the save function didn't seem to be working.
Can anyone tell me whether it's intentional? While I understand that some of the advanced functions are exclusive to the big paid version, I would be very surprised to learn that the player / lite version cannot save and recall changes the user applies to the presets in terms of EQ / compression, envelope and channel fx. Especially since there are also commercial expansions that can be used within Triaz Player, that are of little use, if I cannot edit and recall the settings.
I actually thought about getting the Drift expansion, but what's the use without the ability to at least save my settings?

I'm still having some major issues with usability of this plugin. Anybody else notice how difficult it is to move knobs/sliders by a tiny amount? It's like the target area of "mouse grab" is offset from the actual graphics. For instance the volume sliders in the mixer. It is completely impossible to grab that slider (mouse left click) without moving it. As soon as I click the slider, it moves by + or - 2dB, sometimes more. This makes the whole plugin extremely frustrating to use. I just want to grab that slider first and NOT move it immediately when I click it. This issue happens with ALL the slider type controls in the whole plugin. It does NOT affect the knobs. They work as expected. You click them and they don't jump their position.
My suggestion: Make it so that sliders have a relatively clear and large "do not jump" area around the graphics of the slider. Same for the sequencer lanes. If you click anywhere near the set value of the "slider" it should NOT jump but instead simply be "grabbed" and then moved by the mouse drag as the user does it. This is how most good plugins do it.
This is my main gripe with the latest version (and with the first version too). It's so bad that I actively avoid using the plugin whenever possible. I've setup Algonaut Atlas to scan the samples set of Triaz and use that most of the time instead.
I really hope the devs can fix this issue as it completely undermines the pleasure of using it.

Bitwig/Win11 - I also find this issue frustrating. I've also found it odd that the pan sliders seem to act logarithmically rather than linearly; it seems like an unusually large percentage of movement within the stereo field results from the first few pixels of movement from the pan slider's central position. Annoying.bmanic wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 6:05 pm I'm still having some major issues with usability of this plugin. Anybody else notice how difficult it is to move knobs/sliders by a tiny amount? My main gripe by far - I raised this earlier in the thread but don't think it got any feedback - is that every time I build a MIDI sequence in TRIAZ and then drag it out to TRIAZ's lane in Bitwig's arranger, the pitches of multiple drum channels in TRIAZ automatically lower. Then I have to delete the automation lanes that came out with the MIDI and manually re-pitch each drum channel within TRIAZ. I've done this around a million times lately and can't find any solution. Also reached out to Dan at WA a while back but no traction.
Not sure if it's TRIAZ, Bitwig, or me - but if anyone else has a solution to this, or can at least replicate the issue so I know I'm not crazy, I'd be appreciative.

Enable multi outs and do the panning on the channel in Bitwig, it might give you more control.eecrumjr77 wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:01 pm Not sure if it's TRIAZ, Bitwig, or me - but if anyone else has a solution to this, or can at least replicate the issue so I know I'm not crazy, I'd be appreciative.

Reasonable request, seems part bug, part UI improvement.bmanic wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 6:05 pm My suggestion: Make it so that sliders have a relatively clear and large "do not jump" area around the graphics of the slider. I generally do multi-out when I get to mixing. For drafting, I use TRIAZ's internal mixer. The slider issues aren't a deal-breaker but do feel off to me._leras wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 12:13 amEnable multi outs and do the panning on the channel in Bitwig, it might give you more control.eecrumjr77 wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:01 pm Not sure if it's TRIAZ, Bitwig, or me - but if anyone else has a solution to this, or can at least replicate the issue so I know I'm not crazy, I'd be appreciative.

In my case it was hit and miss. It took a while for my mail to get noticed, but then we had a good and quick exchange. They're currently rather busy with all they have set themselves up to do next. Not sure if they have dedicated support staff.christerdk wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 2:04 amWhat's their response time in your experience?
