I'm not a Studio One+ user (just a regular long time user who has purchased several perpetual licenses), so I can't submit this idea there. If you are, and you like the idea, please consider submitting it, and maybe mention here that you did so they don't get a few requests for the same thing.
For me, the biggest challenge in using loops is that some sample makers program loops in halftime and they sound too fast in my projects. For producers who work in halftime, they have the opposite problem with standard tempo loops. Halftime and doubletime buttons located near the play and stop buttons of the file browser could allow us to preview and import a given loop at the right tempo feel for our projects. Stylus RMX has a feature like this, and it has both practical and creative benefits.
There, that's the idea.

Wait !! So a loyal long time user has less credibility than some recent subscriber?
Presonus that’s the most disrespectful thing I’ve heard so far.

Thanks for that info! They don't respect any of us?Blaster wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 9:26 pm Well, as a Studio One+ user: "You do not have permission to perform this operation"
Something else might be going on there..

You can easily time stretch with a simple shortcut by dragging the tail end of a sample. You can also have custom macros in the browser. Watch S1 videos on youtube

OP wants to audition the loop ''in the browser'' synced to the song half/double time before dragging to the project.vertibration wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 11:32 am You can easily time stretch with a simple shortcut by dragging the tail end of a sample. When I tried to figure out how to submit a feature request there, I saw something that said I had to be a Studio One + subscriber. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, but I tried to address the objection you raised before sharing my idea.jamcat wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:17 pmYou're in the wrong place.Hewitt Huntwork wrote: Sat Aug 31, 2024 8:49 pm I'm not a Studio One+ user (just a regular long time user who has purchased several perpetual licenses), so I can't submit this idea there.

I'm actually not seeing any new posts to the FR board since August 11th, and I don't see a button to post anymore. So perhaps they recently closed it down?
You definitely can still post on the forum here, without a Studio One+ subscription:

Thanks jamcat! I just posted there. I don't know how I missed it, because I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out where to post before resorting to posting here. Much appreciated.jamcat wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:36 pm I'm actually not seeing any new posts to the FR board since August 11th, and I don't see a button to post anymore. I was cleaning out bookmarks in my browser and had quite a few of S1 Feature Request pages in there. Nine out of every ten that I checked were deleted, which was strange. With Lucas releasing a hefty set of S1 functions as an addon instead of them being incorporated into S1, it makes me wonder what is going on over there.

Lucas developed a lot of the MIDI functions in Studio One. It's not from Presonus, but he does work for them designing the program. Harmony Wizard is more extensive than the Toolbox he released before. Of course I understand it not being free for subscribers, but I think S1 won't implement these ideas, and that's why he's doing it on his own.jamcat wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 11:18 pm Those functions are just script/macros, right?
Studio One Toolbox isn’t new, nor is it from PreSonus.
Harmony Wizard has a few functions I can use, but relies on the scales built into S1. The scale list in S1 is anemic. I installed SONAR 8.5 for the first time in 12 years to get access to a client's old projects, and it has dozens more scales than S1. As does Reaper and Cubase. It's frustrating that something like the scale list has been allowed to languish. It doesn't make sense to me.

It's understandable, the Presonus website is a total mess. I recently was looking for certain info about the Academic version, and the website was leading me new/old versions of the same page, broken links, and completely different pages on different parts of the website depending on which link I accessed it from. Not the easiest thing to navigate for sure!Hewitt Huntwork wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:54 pmThanks jamcat! I just posted there.
