Had a crash.. I was working on building a phrase library of some kinds of basic riffs for guitar.. So, working in Ample Sounds VST, I am building a riff and then dropping that into RC. I had to redo one and deleted the phrase because to get the guitar view I had to change the key switch range. In this case, I just increased it by one note, from a B1 to a C2 for the second field. Once I deleted the phrase to drop it again, it froze..

This sounds like a serious bug. I'll try to reproduce and fix it ASAP.

RapidComposer v5.3b13 is available!

Improvements:

• Drag-and-drop midi file: second key-switch range can be set
• Fixed: MIDI cannot be dragged over and dropped on audio tracks
• Minor fix when deleting a phrase
• Note velocities included in the exported musicXML file

The second key switch option does fix the guitar view.. but, may have to adjust the range.. I'll have to double check on that though..

For musicXML, you may have to also include other info in the file for it to be importable into like GP, but, I have to look at it more. I wasn't getting good results with some very quick testing..

Hey .. I will be posting a small list for ya to try and fix before your next release and all. Hope to have that available to you in a day or so.. But, in the mean time, maybe re-look at the save dialog for when the composition has a change. The only real issue I see is a "false - positive" were it asks you to save because of changes, but, if all you is do click a tab or something, and don't actually change anything, you will get that message.. seems like an unnecessary click process, ya know.. minor, but.. (also, if this is already handled by a setting, then ignore this)

This one should be looked at..

If you start a new composition, with a single midi track, then delete that track and drop audio down, the audio track does not play. It seems that the audio track needs a midi track in the composition to play. I even was able to have this happen when I deleted the midi track after dropping an audio track down.

OMG you are right, musicXML uses a different numbering for strings! I fixed this. Now MuseScore properly imports the guitar tab!

No, what I mean is, you have the starting value at A7, I was thinking that value should be one octave lower as the start..

RapidComposer v5.3b14 is available!

Just a few small fixes.

Improvements:

• Fixed string numbering in the exported MusicXML file
• Fixed: having a single audio track results silent playback

Having an issue with MusicXML, but, not sure what is going on.. So, let me explain the process I used to get to this.

From Guitar Pro, I saved a track as audio files, then in RC, I converted those to midi. I added a "remove short notes" variation to clean up the midi then used the xml export from RC.

I opened MuseScore (v 4.4) and dropped that xml file and I get this error message:

Ya know what would really be fun and quick (lol for the user), would be to have the ability to drop multiple audio or midi files into the work area.. (multi select from an OS folder)

Ok, so far, haven't found any other issues other than the XML problem.

So, the only other thing I might suggest is to add XML export to any track. Probably follow the menu choices you have already for exporting, just add XML to those.. and, XML import.. with drag and drop as well...

When I'm in "Show composite track" mode and select multiple notes from different tracks to be copied to other places, unfortunately all of my selected notes are not copied.

I mean assume you have 3 tracks with some notes in each of them and you click on "Show composite track" and and select some of notes from those tracks and press Ctrl button and drag them to other places, unfortunately only the content of one track is copied and the contents of other 2 tracks are not copied. This happens in "Note Editing (F2 bottun)".

Check settings and see if the setting "inhibit selection in multiple tracks" is on.. settings-> Misc - > editing..
