Apparently Komplete 15 Collector Edition gets "Kithara" - Premium collection of guitars and plucked instruments for cinematic soundscapes.

Kontakt 8 seems to incorporate chords & phrases Tools and a rhythmic Leap feature

Komplete 15 also gets new instrument Conflux, expansions Afrobeats, Latin Trap, Soul Gold and iZotope Trash 3

I would like to get it... but they exclude mojave os (for trivial market reasons, surely - as these tools have no problem running on any OS in reality)

So to all of you devs who think you are smart and modern and new and fresh or whatever... you are catering to the sales/business community, not the music people... congrats. you are great business people for the computer industry...

Jez- looks like Kontakt is the only software that's update, everything else sample packs/sample instruments as before. Be an easy pass again for me (just do the K8 upgrade when its 50% off). It even more off-putting now they are adding the iZotope stuff that I already own!

yeah nothing else expected here either. just the same bloatware ;D, samples samples samples, there are not enough. and phrases woohooo, let's use all the same phraseplayers over and over and discontinue step by step the awesome synth vsts!

im curious what Kontakt 8 will be, seems they only update Kontakt with more and more minor updates what others would sell/offer for free. check Avenger, u-He etc. i did only get Kontakt 7 for cheap cause of the GUI sizing but this thing is so slow that i use kontakt 5 preferred. other than that i wanted some kontakt granular library but in the end i only used it twice or so.... so the last update for komplete was not useful either.

Looks like a bloated mess again. Let’s see if they transformed Kontakt into something akin to Falcon. I doubt it.

Not looking forward to replacing all K7 instances with K8 ones, because they probably changed the VST ID again.

Anyone know if you can update just Kontakt if you have it as part of Komplete, or do you have to update the whole bundle?

You can update only Kontakt if you want

Or you could book a meeting with Apple and convince them to "re-support" this ancient OS now.

Clearly you do not understand how the company that "makes" the OS - MUST be available to address anything that is encountered by any company who USES the OS as a foundation for their products.

Why would any developer shoot themselves in the foot by supporting any OS that has been declared "retired" by the company that made it?

You should do what Apple really wants you to do - which is buy a new device every three years and keep them in business.

If you haven't figured it out yet - Apple does not want you ever using anything old.

So Guitar Rig 7 and Kontakt 8 are the only major new instruments/effects? I’ll give that a miss. I can’t even remember the last time I used Kontakt, much prefer Falcon as I generally use it to create my own sounds/samples.

Looks great for hip hop. But komplete 15 doesn't do anything for me .
