In Live 12, activating patterns via notes seem to have a bug. I create a seq in Speedrum. Pattern 1 does not have a hats seq on pad 3. Pattern 2 does have seq on pad 3. When I use midi notes 12 and 13 to change the pattern, the first hat note does not play. I'm using the Speedrum demo v2.1.1.

Possible timing problem... thanks for reporting it

Sure... Something else that I've noticed is that making changes in Speedrum sends an "Edit FX parameter" to the Undo History in Reaper and Studio One. There is no indication of the name of the parameter that was changed in the history. This kinda clutters up the Undo History quickly and its not very helpful. If Speedrum had an internal undo/redo (it may have this and I haven't found it), the parameter changes sent to the host could be turned off.

This is a special parameter that serves only as a notification to the host that there is some kind of change that is normally stored in the state. For example, when changing an internal parameter of a layer that is not visible to the host for modulation, this special parameter lets the host know that there is a change. Otherwise, the host would not offer to save when closing the project, even though there were changes. Unfortunately, this is the only safe way that works in all hosts.

v2.2.1 triggers double notes when switching SEQ patterns in Reaper 7.27.

Post

I can't reproduce it. Can you give me more info? Or a project where it can be reproduced?

Here is a link to the reaper project. A 2 bar loop with two pattern seq on 1 and 2. The kick drum on pad 1, but it seems to happen on any pad. Let the loop play through a few times and you'll start to hear what sounds like a double note on the first kick drum hit.

Ok, thanks, I can reproduce that... although it's not a problem of changing the pattern, but rather looping on the host timeline.

Thanks looking into this. Is there a possible fix for it?

Post

I hope I'll have a fix by the next update.
