I have Komplete 10 Ultimate, last version I bought so for me waiting a bit and getting Komplete 15 with all the guitars, guitar rig 7, etc is really worth it for me to upgrade. I bought Komplete Ultimate 7, 8, 9, 10 and it wasn't worth it yearly just for the inbetween products so skiping a year sems ya get more value the inbetween years individuals and whatever the big major is seems worth it.

If I had Komplete 14 I'd be meh about the 15 release other than updated Kontakt. everyone different but I'll be diving into Komplete 15 so I get the new guitars mostly and working with my Machine and Kontrol keyboard.

I have finally zero hope to see interesting products again from NI.

So,

- Feature poor, (if it works, try moving a library) Native access
- Kontakt 8 library compatibility - We know NI will do something to F this up
- Non exsistant customer support
- Exorbitantly high fees to upgrade/update
------To upgrade to CE is $600 bux, Izotope everything is something similar. I bought CE14 and Izotope everything for less than this, and this is now the update price. Granted some years have passed, but for a decades long supporter, totally unacceptable.
- 1.4 Customer Rating on Trust Pilot (Vs a 4.7 rating for someone like Spitfire)
- NI bought by an Investment firm
- So much more with KK, and Keyboards

With all this going on, people are really considering this? Really?
I have a really fast computer, some good mics, vintage musical instruments, and lots of fancy software. Just need some talent

Sad state of Native Instruments

Thanks god there are small developers like KV331 and I can happily ignore the crap from NI completely.
Synthmaster 3 packs more punch than any of this and is so much more usable and versatile.
For me, huge sample libraries are the past anyway, I much prefer physical modelling or well made synths.
R.I.P. NI, say hello to the dodo from me.

Sorry, no.

I'm the first to criticise NI for slow development, questionable decisions, bugs and abandoning products. But to say Komplete 15 is worthless is just wrong. Sampling is still the best way to get certain sounds in the box. Many here seem to produce electronic music and don't need much, if any, of that. Comparing Komplete to a random do-it-all synth is laughable. Be honest and admit that the product may not be necessary for the music you do. Others will do just fine with it. The Komplete package is still a very attractive bundle, especially the bigger ones.

Outside of a better preset/snapshot browser system, what exactly is reaktor supposed to improve upon? I guess maybe multi core and cpu usage would be great although who knows if that’s possible. But I mean, it seems like a pretty complete product. As long as NI continue to update its compatibility I’m not sure there’s much to complain about in regards to reaktor anyway.

Speaking of which I’ve grown overwhelmed with the mountain of options I have when I make music…

Is anyone interested in buying reaktor from me? haha.

If we go retail only, which would you rather have?

Izotope(all)/Komplete CE = $2499 + $1799 = $4298

Or

Fabfilter(total)/SpitfireBBCPro/Arturia V Collection X = $899+$999+$599 = $2497

Special pricing on this stuff during sales seasons can be had, but the NI Solution is worthless to me when I consider bang for the buck.

100% agree if you are a professional film/media composer its great value...its just drifting away from the stuff many of user actually want/need for our music making. I prefer programable synths, but they are fading away fast in favours of self playing patches and slightly tweakable samples. Nothing wrong with this stuff, I just already have more than enough of it!

Ultimately the proof (of the user base) will be in their sales- what do I know!

It also doesn't help that I am getting emails from saying they are adding NI stuff and emails from NI saying they are adding iZotope stuff, owned both collections (before they merge) so its all feeling a bit weird...almost too much.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Exactly, they're drifting away more and more into sample land. Years ago it was the other way around. But that doesn't make it worthless. You still have Reaktor, Massive and more synths. Reaktor alone is a world in its own. You can still make every type of music with Komplete.

Sorry, again. But an arbitrary comparison like this doesn't make much sense.

You certainly can, be if you have almost any previous version of Komplete you already have all the synths so no need to upgrade...ever.

That's kind of my thinking too.
The problem is that more synths keep getting dropped without new replacements.

If there is no reason to upgrade for you, then don't upgrade. The good thing with NI is that's totally fine. You won't get punished for it. If nobody buys the upgrades anymore they might change course. But they have the numbers and obviously don't have to at the moment.

What companies are you suggesting will punish you?

And why are you so willing to do that for them?
