Hello there!

I'm Noah Feasey-Kemp, the solo creator and developer behind www.audiocube.app

Audiocube is a standalone Mac/Windows audio app, for importing, spatializing, processing, experimenting, and exporting audio!

After 4 years of building this project, I'm finally ready to share it with the music tech community. I've done a few smaller beta tests, and now I'm looking for a larger audience to start using it.

I'm still trying to work out the main audience, but here are the main functions of the software;
- Place, mix, and master audio files in a virtual 3D studio.
- Binauralize and spatialize audio using HRTF and other acoustic simulations.
- Create unique generative music using physics-based audio tools and sequencing.
- Process sounds with a range of custom audio effects.
- Record the output and use your files in other software and projects!

I've included a free version that gives you access to most of the features, and I'm also doing a 40% early discount for these new supporters! I have a lot of ideas for future direction, but I think its best to get more input from the community.

Anyway, I'm looking for any feedback and ideas on the project, as well as for people to test it and enjoy my creation. It's a pretty deep app so please message me if you have any questions.

Looking forward to hear from you,
Noah!

I purchased this instantly upon reading your description. Will leave feedback once I get a chance to try it out.

Along with importing, audio recording would be nice

hmm, I have considered this, although I think it's something better later down the line. Most DAWs have really good recording systems that I wouldn't be able to beat until I had a larger team (it's only me at the moment).

But it's a good suggestion and defiantly on my list! Thanks

It looks pretty interesting and fun to use, like something from a 3D game engine, or like something like a plugin for one of the commercial 3D applications like Cinema 4D, the latter of which I've been using since 1995.

There is an obstacle in the way in terms of actually testing it out, and that's the requirement to log into google drive. I don't use it and I suspect many others don't either.

Thanks! I did take some inspiration from Blender - I'm trying to make something that is kind of a cross between Blender and Ableton.

As for google drive, I don't think you actually need to sign in? I tried in an incognito tab without logging into an account and it let me download it. Although you will need to create an account on the audiocube.app website to access the download page.

If you are having trouble accessing the download without a google account let me know, and I'll work out another way of sharing the download.

Interesting. Checking it out.

Thanks!

Let me know how you get on with it. I'm going to share a link for a feature request form soon to keep track of things.

I made a new video showing some of the new features, and helping you get started!

Reminds me a bit of (sadly abandoned) AudioGL project.

Just out of curiousity, did you know about it when creating Audiocube?

I had heard of it! It looks cool although I've never tried it myself.

I've spent a lot of time researching 3D DAWs/audio applications and ultimately decided that none did what I wanted, so I learned how to make software so I could make my own...

It's still an emerging field in a lot of ways, and there are many possible directions that could be explored. So I'm looking to connect with other enthusiasts in this space to help better define and refine the concept!

Hey everyone! I made a new video tutorial explaining how to make soundscapes in Audiocube. Enjoy!
