I own both Blue 3 and the IK one, IMHO the IK one sounds better (used to own a real one). But neither one is better than the UAD Hammond which sounds the most authentic to me.Download SOphist wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:45 pm $49 for me, but IK b3-x is on sale for $39 atm….
Then again IK is so customer unfriendly

$39 for legacy users is a kick in the balls.vulpes777 wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 5:23 pm

Wow, this looks quite a nice upgrade![]()
So it's $39 for "Legacy" users, so far I don't see any confirmation of Spin still being bundled with it, though.

Everyone can already get it for that price at resellers.

I've played many and can say they're like Strat guitars in that while they're all made with the same components, no two sound or play exactly 100% the same. And I'd rather buy CA than either IKM or UAD any day.seangm wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:50 pmI own both Blue 3 and the IK one, IMHO the IK one sounds better (used to own a real one). This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Lowest I can find is $44 (with free W. A. Production Screamo plugin):

(price drops from $49 when going to checkout)

Not too bad. Thanks. I like the dirt in the sound. I might demo it.
That was quick. Two minute demo. Didn't impress me as much as the youtube demo. Then again, I can't play keyboards.
I already have a number of Organ plugins that I prefer. Starting with IKM.

Yeah I mean mechanical instruments are like that, especially when you get tubes involved and other old moving parts. I just find the UAD more pleasing to my ears but just my opinion so whatever works for you.BBFG# wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 9:00 pmI've played many and can say they're like Strat guitars in that while they're all made with the same components, no two sound or play exactly 100% the same. Yep, my point being they all could have a place. I never got into the UAD stuff and seeing the constant marketing has made me glad I didn't. I did do the IKM thing and am much happier without them after giving away my entire account. Worse thing you can say about CA is they're NFR, but since they're so inexpensive and the company is more straight forward than the other two, it has far more value IMO.seangm wrote: Wed Sep 04, 2024 10:12 pmYeah I mean mechanical instruments are like that, especially when you get tubes involved and other old moving parts. We have not yet announced plans for Spin. It is not included with Cherry Audio's new Blue3, though registered users of the GG Audio version can access it through their user library.

Doesn't the organ have something in it that's just like it?Lotuz2019 wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 5:14 amLotuz2019 wrote: Mon Sep 02, 2024 11:39 amWill Spin be available as separate plugin too or will you only get it when you buy Blue3?GG Audio's acclaimed Blue3 organ is coming back, and it's better, more affordable, and has a whole new look (with a few surprises) from Cherry Audio.@CherryAudiovst

Spin is an insert effect that you can use with any audio source. Rotary speaker effects sound nice with guitar and electric piano for example. I might be mistaken, but I don't think you can route audio through Blue3.aanano wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:04 amDoesn't the organ have something in it that's just like it?Lotuz2019 wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 5:14 amLotuz2019 wrote: Mon Sep 02, 2024 11:39 amWill Spin be available as separate plugin too or will you only get it when you buy Blue3?GG Audio's acclaimed Blue3 organ is coming back, and it's better, more affordable, and has a whole new look (with a few surprises) from Cherry Audio.@CherryAudiovst

But for that it's the same?

I own the original GG Audio Blue 3 and thought it was pretty good but I personally prefer AcousticSamples B5 and IK’s B3X. Has the sound of the organ and the rotary been improved with this new release?
