Or, you can switch to Linux!Vocalpoint Studios wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 4:45 amOr you could book a meeting with Apple and convince them to "re-support" this ancient OS now.
Clearly you do not understand how the company that "makes" the OS - MUST be available to address anything that is encountered by any company who USES the OS as a foundation for their products.
Why would any developer shoot themselves in the foot by supporting any OS that has been declared "retired" by the company that made it?
You should do what Apple really wants you to do - which is buy a new device every three years and keep them in business.
If you haven't figured it out yet - Apple does not want you ever using anything old.

Komplete 12 forever! I will not upgrade.
NI lost the chance to be a developer of killer synths. GForce and Korg populated their collections quite good, and also Arturia made improvement(I may sell it though...) - so these are really competitive bundles.
And Steinberg Halion also got nicer updates than Kontakt.
And Universal Audio native bundles are also super nice bundles from another company, that are better than NI stuff.
And I'm more satisfied with the current Omnisphere, so I can't think of a case , where i would spend any amount on NI bundles.

Well, I wouldn’t count them out totally. Kontakt is still the best tool for that job. Massive X has issues, but it’s hands down the best sounding wavetable synth if you care about things like audio rate modulation and feedback. (I do) Guitar Rig has become one of the best sounding guitar amp emulations and retains its position as the most versatile guitar amp/effects processor software available. Might even be the most versatile in hardware too.
I didn’t update last time… not sure if I’ll update this time either, but who knows? If they do offer up something that’s interesting, I’m definitely not going to ignore it because they focus on sample libraries that I don’t care about. As always, I assess what’s offered and at what cost and make a judgement as to whether or not I’d get my money’s worth out of it.

Didnt Upgrade because there was no Reaktor 7 included.

pretty meh... I do like what NI have done, Reaktor saved my life etc, but as many people have pointed out over the last idk 7 years they've completely stopped all interesting progress and just peddle somewhat mediocre sample packs and kontakt libraries. Kind of sad to see how innovative and futuristic this company was, pushing stuff like Razor which is still one of the most top of the line additive synths, and now its all so boring

I don't think GR is even in the top 3 software sims, maybe top 5...I would put Helix, Scuffam, Amplitube/ToneX and Neural DSP above GR7. I guess its all a matter of taste, I have been playing Guitar for over 30 years so I know what I like and only use a handful of tones. I have been disappointed by the 'real amp' modelling in GR7 (very little variety). GR7 does have a lot of 'fun' effects (although I had most of them in Ultimate anyway, they just repeat them in GR7) and is good as a general FX rack.zerocrossing wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:47 pm Guitar Rig has become one of the best sounding guitar amp emulations and retains its position as the most versatile guitar amp/effects processor software available. I think ToneX is the future of Guitar Amp Sims, amazing user base, always something new and often for free, great interface and user upload area, user amp capturing (like Kempler profiler) etc...years ahead of GR7 and that's IK!

It’s true that Guitar Rig 7 is low on amp variety, but the ECM models are pretty damn good and the effects available are, as you mentioned, lots of fun. So, I’m still going to grab Amplitube/Tonex for most of my standard guitar needs, but I feel Guitar Rig deserves recognition, because it’s no longer “OK, but those effects.” Besides, how many different amp models does someone need? I’m as big a collector of models and captures as anyone, but when it comes down to it, I find myself using a few Fenders, Soldano, and the Amplitube Mesa Transatlantic model. I love that thing.SLiC wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 5:19 amI don't think GR is even in the top 3 software sims, maybe top 5...I would put Helix, Scuffam, Amplitube/ToneX and Neural DSP above GR7. I really like GR7 Pro....
The ICM models sound very organic and they cover all the bases ..
I use a couple of other guitar plugins, but GR7 is fantastic...
The pick of the bunch for me..

Is there any news regarding UI resize update for the older plugins?
It's really hard to use them on 4K screens with 150% scaling. When you scale them un-natively, they look unusably blurred.
Other than the flagship products, it feels like they abandoned the older products like Massive and Battery.

I'm using GR7 in Linux now (via Wine/Yabridge) and it's relative slow indeed, sometimes crashes.
But maybe it's due to the fact that it's not a native linux version but via the wine-workaround.
Otherwise, the way of working is much easier than Amplitube or other amps I tried.
For Amplitube I think that BlueCat's Axiom or ToneLib GFX are a much much better deal: way faster and lightweight.

On the Guitar Rig 7 Effects and Tools page it lists Softubes RC 24 and RC 48 as part of the included effects. However the Komplete 15 Comparison page suggests those 2 effects are not part of Komplete 15 Standard. Does this mean they aren't available in Guitar Rig 7 if you purchase Komplete 15 Standard? Alternatively, does this mean they are available, but only within Guitar Rig?
