With the release of Model 77 (was the same with the microKorg 700s), I’ve tried once again to achieve the « same » ring modulator sounds with the synths I’ve already have. Namely Arturia minifreak v and Pigments. But with no success in having the same « clangorous » quality of the modeled synths. I’ve tried modulating the pitch of both 2 oscillators, adding noise modulation, I can’t go near the « earth shaking » of the oldies.
Any ideas ?

It's worth looking at the particular implementation in the analog synth that is being emulated. Many old ring modulators had very odd implementations and many were just simple bipolar AM circuits. Posting a sound that one thing doest another cannot might be useful.
If you were willing to spend an afternoon In a program like pure data or reaktor, you should be able to figure out how to achieve pretty much any style of analog ring modulation and , in the process, learn what makes them different (outside of nonlinearities of analog components).
