Dear KVR Members.

We are very happy to announce the release of free updates for all our 32 audio plug-ins and applications, including our 8 free plug-ins.

In case you are new to KvR, our plug-in line offers unique creative tools for mixing or mastering engineers, sound designers, guitar & bass players or virtual instruments lovers: all of them have been updated today.

These updates mainly contain multi-monitor Hi DPI scaling support for Windows and improved Retina display support for Mac with crispier images display on high resolution screens, as well as a couple of other fixes and improvements depending on the plug-ins as detailed below.

This occasion is also the opportunity for us to launch "Back To School" special offers, with up to 33% off until September 30th, exclusively on our website. Demo versions can be downloaded on www.bluecataudio.com, in most popular plug-in formats for Mac and PC.

What's New for All Plug-Ins:
- Windows: Multi monitor High DPI scaling support for high resolution displays (4K monitors, hi-res laptops…) for Windows 10 version 1607 (Anniversary Edition) and newer.
- Mac: Improved Retina display support, with crispier graphics at all resolutions and zoom levels.
- Mac: fixed random GUI refresh issues in Reaper on Retina displays.

What’s New For Plug-in Hosts (PatchWork, Axiom, Fader Hub, MB-7 Mixer & Late Replies):
- Auto Scale option for third party plug-ins that do not support HiDPI on Windows.
- New option to disable “suspend processing on silence” for plug-ins that do not report tail size properly (such as Valhalla plug-ins).
- Fixed a potential issue with VST3 plug-ins using unicode characters in parameter names and values.
- Fixed a crash with some VST3 plug-ins requiring inputParameterChanges (such as Martinic plug-ins).
- Fixed crash on Apple Silicon and wrong preset names on other platforms when loading VST3 plug-ins that define presets without names (such as FabFilter plug-ins).
- Fixed minor memory leak when using oversampling for plug-ins.

What’s New For Plug’n Script:
- Fixed potential problems with other plug-ins changing locale settings in non-GUI threads.
- Fixed input strings names reset to default when using angelscript for DSP (native was fine).
- Fixed exported plug-ins creating a “Plug’n Script” folder in the user’s documents folder.
- Other minor bug fixes.

System requirements:
- Apple Silicon or Intel Mac running Mac OS 10.9 or newer.
- PC running Windows Vista or newer.

Enjoy!

BTW, did you know that with this new release, you an now use PatchWork to bridge older plug-ins that do not support Hi DPI scaling on Windows?

That's our tip of the day!

Interesting update.
Is it possible to increase the size of the plugin if scaling is not enabled in Windows? I have a fullhd monitor and do not use windows scaling. But some plugins are still too small, for example FM8 or Absynth.

No that's unfortunately not possible. Too bad that Windows does not offer this capability indeed!
