Do You Regret Upgrading To The Latest Version Of Your DAW?

Many people buy upgrades simply to stay current or even to support a developer whilst some upgrade because to they didn't know about some specific issues, or didn't realise how significant they were going to be to them. Most people do a bit of research before any upgrades and look at the features they like but still run into issues, whilst some people wait it out and eventually give in out of waiting in frustration to use features that they are actually wanting to use in any particular update, be that because they feel their version is getting too long in the tooth or whatever. I think many of us have been there at some point. So as it currently stands, do you feel the road has come to a cross roads where you are now looking for an alternative DAW, or are now having to go back to a previous version of the current DAW you use instead?

I haven't upgraded Cubase pro to 13 yet. Don't know if it's worth it or not. I'ts getting less and less new exciting things to upgrade for. I've never regretted an update so far though.

Current cubase pro is just fine by me.
That doesn't mean anything though. Something could be fine by you and not by someone else. What a useless comment. Maybe you're fine with a text editor for some tracker.
Saying its fine by you means nothing.

I neither upgraded Reason nor Studio One to the most recent major version, so I did everything right.
I can't wait to give Magix some more money though.

Depends on the DAW. Generally speaking, upgrade to the next major version is usually not worth it. Upgrading every 2 major versions seems to be a much sweeter spot.
That being said I got a beef with every DAW and the DAW makers aren't really doing anything to fix their shortcomings. They just keep on piling on useless shit.

Logic - absolutely no regrets, but I'm anxiously awaiting the upgrade that fixes ARA/Melodyne implementation
Live - no regrets
Studio One - no regrets, but I hardly ever use it except specifically for ARA/Melodyne
Cubase - my last upgrade was a couple of versions ago and I don't think I ever actually used it, so yeah, I suppose I could've spent that $99 (or whatever it was) on something more useful, like a couple of cases of Guinness or a nice bottle of port.
