In general I don't regret upgrading my DAW(s). The only DAW that I didn't upgrade and possibly won't is Reason 12.

The best Upgrade this time is Live 11 to Live 12. I sold my Suite 11 but then after trying v12 I upgraded my Lite version to Standard 12. This is the best upgrade I did so far! It runs much better now on Windows and it runs like a dream on Mac!

Still using Bitwig on Linux, but Live's workflow (especially with the excellent browser) is shifting me towards it, so I'm glad that I gave Live a chance again :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

That doesn't mean anything though. Something could be fine by you and not by someone else. What a useless comment. Maybe you're fine with a text editor for some tracker.
Saying its fine by you means nothing.
Nope.

Logic Pro is always a big risk to upgrade because it also requires certain minimum Mac OS which means you'll be upgrading the operating system as well.

Yesterday I finally upgraded Logic Pro to it's latest incarnation and thus also had to install a much newer OS. I decided to risk it as I'm in between critical projects (just finished one and starting another in a few days). So far everything is working well with latest Sonoma OS.

I have to say that Logic Pro is such a ridiculously good value for money DAW. Yet again they've added some unbelievably good new plugins and features. For instance, I have no idea why the new CrhomaGlow effect isn't raved about more. It's at the very top of the heap when it comes to mojo saturation plugins. If it was sold by Softube or UA for 300$ it would be raved about as THE secret weapon and the best sounding tube + tape emulation ever. Yes, it's that good. So if you use Logic Pro as your DAW, you already have one of the best saturation plugins in the world as a stock plugin.

I upgraded 2 this year I believe, no regrets...

I only regret that I can not upgrade to the latest version due to financial constraints.

100% agree :tu:

Not only that, but it is my favourite musical environment and it has a special "charm" on me!

Anyway, although I consider Logic and Cubase the richest environment for both midi/music composition (I haven't spent enough time with the DP to judge it), I tend to record my ideas faster in Live/Bitwig.
Now, with Live even faster than Bitwig due to an easier browser navigation and the better drums samples among other reasons.

Studio One Pro: I'm still on 4, it's my main DAW. No regrets upgrading 2 to 3 and then to 4. After that, it just wasn't appealing enough to upgrade.

Live Suite: I'm still on 9, but I didn't use it in years. It was a free upgrade from 8, so no regrets. 12 is very tempting, as my Push 2 just lies there, gathering dust.

Maschine: no idea if there's even a newer version, I just know that I don't want to give NI/PA/iZ money anymore.

 I upgraded my Cubase Pro 10 to 13 with a 10.5 update serial I had, just to get the WaveLab voucher and the new activation scheme. It's cool that it eventually worked, kudos to Steinberg's local distributor that helped me, as I wouldn't figured it out myself how to do it. I never use Cubase.

Nope. Live 10 -> Live 12 was a fantastic jump!

No, Reaper 7 & 8 update from 6. Only pennies compared to other DAWs. And Justin can have a pizza. :)

Whether there's a new version or not depends on what version you're on, of course - however in any case you can update to the latest version (2.18.4 right now) free of charge, so if you'd use an older version than that there'd be no reason to hand them over any money.

Cubase 13 was an incredible update. No regrets.

Presonus Studio One 2nd daw upgrade, pretty lackluster. Some regrets

Thanx! Will have to check, as I don't remember at all (I didn't open Maschine in a long time). It's possible that I have the first version. It's also possible that I bought V2 second-hand here at some point. :?

At this point as an Ableton user, the version numbers seem less important. Ableton 12 was a fairly iterative update over 11.3, but 12.1 is looking pretty big. So yes, it's worth doing because you never know what is going to come in the next iteration. I run the beta and the stable version to test the updates.

I have just updated to Cubase 13 and not noticed anything of any significance. The only thing I have noticed is a new volume slider at the side, Oh, and some orchestra stuff for Halion Sonic. What else have I missed?

I was going to praise Cubase 13 as well. I am super happy with the upgrade from 12->13.

For me, the mixer UI alone is a huge improvement. It was so ugly and bulky before, it was just really difficult to use because it had no visual contrast. It's nice and clean now, and so much more useable.

The fact that Cubase FINALLY got a real inspector panel (what they call the "channel" tab) is really nice too, since every other traditional DAW has had one for 10+ years.

The updated range selector too is also really handy.

Those 3 alone are worth the $50 upgrade sale price for me.
