Revolv - Real Spaces

I see no one opened a topic about this plugin, so i'll do it.

Klevgrand released what i think it's a very interesting plugin. In their website they call it "reverb" because that's it, but to me is something more, because it comes with some very interesting ambiance that can be used in a more creative ways.

There are also different flavors taken with different microphones on the same ambiance, and it's a feature i really appreciate

That''s the product link: https://klevgrand.com/products/revolv
Price: $69.99
Intro price: $49.99

As usual for who is interested i also made a video

Thanks for the heads up

Indeed, this is a very nice collection of impulse responses! I especially love the Zylia 3D microphone impulses of the various spaces.

The only negative thing about the plugin is the too simplified EQ. It would be very nice if there was 3 bands available and if you could change the Q value. EDIT: As per Frankie T's information below, you CAN change the Q by holding CTRL.

I'd also appreciate a sub 0.X ms scale for the pre-delay. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect, and very pretty to look at and explore!

Can you load your own IRs?

No, not that I know.

Afaik you cannot load your IR and i don't think would make any sense in a product like this, at least that's not what i'm expecting.

The eq is 2 band only, but if you click CTRL then you move your mouse, you can change the q

I bought this right after I demoed it, upon seeing its release on GS. Altiverb is stupid expensive. This, after my educational discount was super affordable and I absolutely loved the variety of IR's it has and the mics used as well. The GUI is beautifully done too.

Very strange that they don't allow for the same functionality with mouse scroll wheel! But thanks for the heads up on this, changing the Q makes this EQ much more usable even though it's only 2 bands.

ignored this until now because I thought the IK reverbs I have would be enough. But I am surprised at how lush this sounds.... really nice and unobtrusive which I like in a reverb. This is really tempting...

THIS IS AWESOME..... I'm having so much fun with this.

Klegrand is a cool niche company. This plugin sounds great. Until now I've used DDMF's Magic Verb for its simple but good IRs. I don't have Altiverb or Waves IR1 but I do use Logic and have Space Designer - though I've never felt that any IRs used in Space Designer sound like realistic spaces. Things get muddy and smeared and don't sound like they are ... in actual spaces. I know some people love SD but I've just never gotten along with it. I honestly can't believe how much better Revolv sounds. And there's really enough in there that I can't imagine needing any more IRs than it offers. Simple. Sounds good.
