I was considering to pay for the Infinity update just to have that particular OhmBoyz preset back in VST3 form.
If you provide me the exact patch number in that bank I am happy to do it for you. Have you tried "simple" in Legacy bank?
It should sound like that (first 4 secs beats are my try and the last 4 secss are the version with the Ohmboyz Legacy)
no. requires rosetta or in Logic (and other AU hosts) it will run using that intel Au hosting compatibility app.carrieres wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 12:46 amor already Apple Silicon ready ?VariKusBrainZ wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 12:43 amA hint that products are getting compatibility upgrades…

Did you contact us on support? I feel like I have just replied that one somewhere but losing track, lots of replies to lots of questions on lots of channels
Unfortunately, it sounds completely different. Panorama modulation and frequency modulation also sound different. With the old Ohmboyz delay it almost reminds me of an analogue phaser. It sounds quite soft and continuous. This is certainly partly due to the different type of synchronisation. The old synchronisation may have been inconsistent, but it sounded better musically. Perhaps you should offer an option that offers the old type, after all Infinity is also intended as a further development?Red_Force wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 7:04 am So that one had not been changed 1:1 and I have to leave but I managed to do this in the meantime. Your question send me in a rabbit hole and I realize there are more things to consider under the hood but this is already a decent approximation. I will come back to it next week but in the meantime you can try that one:

In general gain has to be -6db on the delay line to match gain 0 on the old Ohmboyz. Also OBI's filter goes up to 20 kHz while Ohmboyz stopped at 10K. Combined with the different modulation paradigm (Ohmboyz 100% is 100% of the parameter value, OBI is 100% of the parameter range, obvious improvement but yeah, conversion) requires a bit of attention to replicate.
Also yes, OBI now sync to timeline which was one big issue with OBI (basically inconsistent on each playback unless using dirty sync tricks which kinda limiting for an effect centered on rhythmical modulation).
Don't you mean The Boyz are back in town?
