:( I was considering to pay for the Infinity update just to have that particular OhmBoyz preset back in VST3 form.

If you provide me the exact patch number in that bank I am happy to do it for you. Have you tried "simple" in Legacy bank?

EDIT: ok I understand what I missed. On it.

Purchased last night. So far working great for me and already made dozens of presets! Ohmboys was one of my secret weapons and all the new features are welcome!

It should sound like that (first 4 secs beats are my try and the last 4 secss are the version with the Ohmboyz Legacy)
Test.mp3

Expected Result (Ohmboyz Legacy)

Yes "Simple" Bank Legacy, Patch 13 doesnt work. Wrong filter type (BP), wrong modulation (noise) etc. This are the parameters from the Ohmboyz delay which I tried to replicate (Preset Simple Delay - LPF LFO)

D1 Filter Res: 12dB
D1 Delay Time: 3/4 Beat
D1 Filter Q: 1
Filter Typ: LP
D1 Filter Cutoff: 2000Hz /Mod: 16 Beats/100%/Triangle
D1 Level: 0dB
D1 Pan: Mid / Mod 6 Beats/75%/Sine
D1 HS Cutoff: 4000Hz
D1 HS Level: 0DB
D1: Feedback: 50%

The result is completely different. It also seems that the LFO is also reset at every start when it runs in a loop (Cubase). I've tried using Phase and Smooth but that doesn't have the effect.

I found something very similar in Melda Charmverb (which I think is free) They have several long verbs each with their own character but one really reminds me of my fav Infinity preset.

no. requires rosetta or in Logic (and other AU hosts) it will run using that intel Au hosting compatibility app.

I have it running in Metaplugin.. anyway, it cannot be unlocked, still runs in demo mode. Somebody found a solution (Mac, maybe its different on Windows)?

So that one had not been changed 1:1 and I have to leave but I managed to do this in the meantime. Your question send me in a rabbit hole and I realize there are more things to consider under the hood but this is already a decent approximation. I will come back to it next week but in the meantime you can try that one:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GtbOCp ... sp=sharing

In general gain has to be -6db on the delay line to match gain 0 on the old Ohmboyz. Also OBI's filter goes up to 20 kHz while Ohmboyz stopped at 10K. Combined with the different modulation paradigm (Ohmboyz 100% is 100% of the parameter value, OBI is 100% of the parameter range, obvious improvement but yeah, conversion) requires a bit of attention to replicate.

Also yes, OBI now sync to timeline which was one big issue with OBI (basically inconsistent on each playback unless using dirty sync tricks which kinda limiting for an effect centered on rhythmical modulation).

Unfortunately, it sounds completely different. Panorama modulation and frequency modulation also sound different. With the old Ohmboyz delay it almost reminds me of an analogue phaser. It sounds quite soft and continuous. This is certainly partly due to the different type of synchronisation. The old synchronisation may have been inconsistent, but it sounded better musically. Perhaps you should offer an option that offers the old type, after all Infinity is also intended as a further development?

Yes, none of this works. Ohmboyz Legacy only runs in demo mode here. Too bad.

Don't you mean The Boyz are back in town? ;)

still no luck getting infinity to run. won't pass AU Validation in Logic, VST3/AU instantly crash Live when trying to load it.
tried full uninstall of all files and deleted Audio Unit cache. ugh. still no luck. sent crash log to ohmforce support. hopefully they can find the issue. as it is now i have to give up. no time for all this troubleshooting :(

the legacy plug ins work fine though. shrug.
