This synth is going to be a beast! VST makers are redoing the same synths over and over...how many ARP 2600 do we really need?? Anyone who has played an SY77 or 99 know that these are truly unique instruments. Programming will be a lot easier on a computer screen than on the physical instrument itself. I still own and SY99 and TG77...they haven't been used in a while, though. Definitely look forward to this VST!

You're telling me. Sometimes I wish there'd be a Kurzweil K2500 emulation synth already or even a Korg 01/W softsynth, maybe a Zenology port of the JD-990 (complete with reconstructed filters and the like). Regardless of those wishful dreams, this plugin oughta be da bomb.com!!Caesarg86 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 10:39 am This synth is going to be a beast! I am looking forward to this release!
I've built a system which enables me to use almost all plugins from late 1990s until, hopefully, late 2030s, in a 32bit DAW which I know by heart, and which does literally everything I need. VST2, VST3, x86, x64 - it all works together!!!
I'm not gonna share explanation anywhere - I am afraid Steinborg and Necrosoft police will come after me... After all, it is very dangerous to use old and new instruments simultaneously, it is a health & security hazard.
Imagine using VectorSector VST2x86, Spire VST2x64 and Sway VST3x64 all in a same track. A fire may breakout, I repeat DO NOT THIS it is very dangerous.

You can use those plugins on any modern windows system running a bridge platform like Jbridge without issues.TS-12 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 5:40 pmCan you share more about the system that you builtfrag wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 3:17 am I am looking forward to this release!

Yeah, good luck with loading VST3 plugins into JBridge. As well as using WinXP/7 era plugins which don't work properly on Win11 (or don't work at all!)trusampler wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 7:42 pmYou can use those plugins on any modern windows system running a bridge platform like Jbridge without issues.TS-12 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 5:40 pmCan you share more about the system that you builtfrag wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 3:17 am I am looking forward to this release!

If you investigate a bit you will see there's a simple solution. It's the superb Audiogridder. You install AG plugin for your DAW of choice, then you install AG server in virtual machine or another physical machine. That's it... You can also expand Win11 machine with another Win11 machine for more CPU power.
Works flawlessly even with VMs. Use the latest Win11 DAW with 32bit plugins written for Win7. Use old 32bit Win7 DAW with the latest VST3 plugins. Where JBridge fails, AG comes in. All combinations from Win7 to Win11 are possible!

There's no reason to load VST3 plugins into jbridge, as they already work native x64. The only reason for using a platform like jbridge would be to use x86 or 32 bit plugins in a 64 bit DAW.
Oh wait I see, you’re running a 32 bit daw so you’re correct ! Audiogridder is sufficient for what you’re looking to use it for.

Audiogridder is a masterpiece... And it's free.
For example, you can build a system with four 9950X CPUs for much less money than server board with multiple sockets. Top dual CPU configuration is around $16K according to cpubenchmarks, but 4 9950Xs connected with Audiogridder are much, much stronger than dual AMD EPYC 9684X (something like 268108 vs 157672 in their benchmarks). And the total cost might be sub-4K.
Such "crazy" configurations are now possible thanks to Audiogridder. I was shocked to see how well it performs, it's like the plugins operate as usual, within your DAW

So you install the plugins on the audio server pc which host audio gridder server .frag wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 6:10 am Audiogridder is a masterpiece... And it's free.

What about plugins that need to phone home , meaning the audio server also needs to be connected to the web, right ?
What about plugins that only allow for 2 separate installs and you also want to have it installed on your main host machine .

Not for use, but for seeing and learing purpose, i made my own VIRTUAL computer with multiboot on Vmware, including installation of CUBASE with many VST VSTi i use in life, installed, configured with some of my musics ready to PLAY in CUBASE.
C1 booting Windows XP with CUBASE SX3.1.1.944, and CUBASE 5 VST
C2 XP for others
C3 XP for games
C4 windows 7 64 with CUBASE SX3.1.1.944 ( 32bit ) + Jbrige for on 64bit VSTi
C5 windows 7 64 with CUBASE 7 (64bit ) + Jbridge
C6 windows 10 64 with CUBASE 13 with VSTi working, ( but no sound, because Windows 10 uses others sound drivers. Possibili having sound but then : XP will no sound, and still no in Cubase 13. Not a big problem because for demo and learning purposes. )

of course : this is not shareable, because of the same << ***** of search like in GTA >>.
+ PC emulation can not be used really because 1 or 2 seconds latency. This is EMULATION this is not hardware. But, i think about +100 years when my soul will be making love again and again forever with ladies , even with 2 wifes for hours, days, and looking from time to time to the earth: then Steinberg, Microsoft, and so on will be part of ancetres / ancestral
and PC computer will work at the speed of light or more, and EMULATION will have 0,001 second latency.
All my work forever and ever, is if you were me alive in front !
This is "satisfaising" for me to know that my computer will not dissapear after me, as reformated disks for some "NAS". If this is the case, ... virtual one will exist FOREVER.
... and with + SWAY as my TG77 in it !
