That's what happens with fanboys when they get their dose - and that's why you completely fail at every attempt of being objective.
Not a fanboy thing. The reason you used to have hardware accelerators is because they were actually analog. You had to send the digital signals to analog hardware cards you'd plugged into the PCI bus. So UAD plugins are actually analog plugins.

j/k.

the only reason I still use DSP accelerator is that even with a not so old CPU, it's still usefull, and clearly very efficient when you run things like 1176/LA2A/FAIRCHILD/PULTEC ... on it

None AD/DA conversion with DSP based plugins, the DSP just replace the CPU to run the plugins, UAD native or DSP based version are 100 % digital.

I could run softube or brainworx plugins version on UA DSP that also exist in native, tried them, never bought one of them, not because they release bad products but because I still think UA's work on emulation is better and fit more my tastes.
Win 11, UAD Octo satellite usb, Yamaha AG06 mk2, IK multimedia iLoud MTM x2, Ableton Live 12, Push 2, Reason 12, NI Komplete.

For Softube: If you’re looking for top-notch emulations that run natively without the need for additional hardware, Softube is an excellent choice. They offer a great balance between quality and flexibility, especially if you value ease of use and don’t want to invest in DSP hardware.
For UAD: If you prioritize the absolute best in analog emulation, have the budget, and don’t mind using dedicated DSP hardware, UAD is hard to beat. The quality of their plugins, combined with the processing power of their hardware, makes them a top choice for professionals who need the highest fidelity in their productions.

UAD should put this on their homepage

No DSP card required with their native series.
UAD have regular sales from $39 and issue a first time buyer voucher.

This was probably already said, everything is a matter of preference. Softube Essentials though is an amazing value bundle at $49 (or $39 if you own others) and there also were great exclusive Plugin Boutique Bundles. That's the best way to buy Softube stuff.

Otherwise the prices always stay the same. Sometimes it's an "exclusive newsletter code", sometimes it's "find the special code during holidays" (or whatever that was), then it's just "here are reduced prices, but there's also a 15% off code on top" and at the end of the day most of the time all of these sales hover above a very similar threshold.

You may be lucky and avoid problems, but this seems to be lucky change - any new version of the UAC may make your UA native plugins unusable.
That happened to me after all was well first few months.
Seems that I need to try Softube... Right? Better choice...
