True. My GMT4 is 32 years old, though, and I just ordered new bearings for it. I ground them down so they no longer smoothly return to zero.
What kind of strat and why?

Was very interested in those guitars. Such good ideas , with the rolling capo thing ( genius) .zerocrossing wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 9:05 amOne of the reasons I love my Steinberger GMT4 after all these years. The tremolo system has to very cool features. One, it locks, creating what’s basically fixed bridge. Two, it maintains relative tuning as you use it, giving you a sound that does not become dissonant over the span of travel. Also, it can lock in several positions, almost like a capo.
Didn’t know that re the Tremelo and relative tuning . Sounds great !!
I just can’t get over the look. It’s just so…. 1980s .

I had a Kramer Stage Master Custom back in the 80's Won it in a card game. God those things were expensive back then. It had all the right stuff. Loved the neck-thru design
Same card game months later lost it right back to the original owner.
Now I'm looking at the new versions of the Stage master. The neck is a little thicker than I recall. But my memory could be going.
