I'm comparing JBP Partypack 320 vs JBL IRRX12 or perhaps the eon models instead.

I'm new to speakers, both are same price point, one is 1300 watts and 12 inch sub, the other is 5 inch sub with 500 watte (party box stage 320) Obviously the former should have better bass for edm but why are the price points similar? Are they both portable with battery packs?

I'm looking for a portable speaker I can make music outside at random locations, like a beach or some other place outdoors. I make EDM music so I need lots of bass. I don't necessarily want to play it loud just hear the bass. Advice?

That said, looks like the EON ones might be better as just PA speakers. It says the frequency range is 50hz and the partybox is 40hz. Is that all the difference, that small range?

I had the JBL EON One Compact for several months, which goes down to 37.5 Hz for the eight-inch woofer. My primary concern was weight, so I made sure that I was able to carry it along with my LinnStrument and hardware synthesizer. Later on, I realized that the hardware synthesizer I wanted in the future required an AC outlet, so I upgraded the JBL Eon One Compact for the Bose L1 Pro32 Portable Line Array with a Sub2 Powered Bass Module, since battery-powered portable operation was no longer relevant, among other reasons.

If I had still prioritized battery-powered portable operation, I would have upgraded to the JBL EON One MK2 instead, which goes down to 37 Hz. To give you a sense of comparison, that is also the exact same frequency the Bose Sub2 Powered Bass Module is able to achieve using AC power. I would not consider any speaker with a frequency range starting at 40 Hz or above, especially if bass reproduction is your primary concern.
