Ohmicide MacOS is ARM native or not? FAQ says Intel only.
all the old plug ins are labeled as "LEGACY" and require rosetta to run on apple silicon but the AU versions will run in hosts using the apple AU host compatibility app. they are not native apple silicon.

ohmboyz infinity delay is apple silicon native as of this latest update.

if you want to check any installer to see if its contents are apple silicon/intel universal binary etc.. use "suspicious package". it's free.. and let's you see inside any installer. w/plug in installers you "open with.." and select suspicious package.. then go to "all files" and it'll show entire package contents and then you select the vst2/3/AU and it'll tell you if it's ARM or Intel or both. it's a free app.. works great.

go get it.. you can answer all your questions about any installer.

Anyone have Infinity working on Intel Mac?

I thought I'd give this a try, *cough* 6 years later *cough* but VST 3 crashes Live instantly. Au shows a message that the plugin cannot be loaded.

Plugin loads fine in logic here, but no presets. I do see they are installed in:

/library/Audio/Presets/Ohm Force/Ohboys Infinity/Factory

Trying to create new and save preset.... nothing happens :-/

What now ?

EDIT: managed to save a preset (and load).... Was saved to same location in user folder. So tried to copy the "Factory" folder there, but it gets DELETED from hd automatically when i load the plug.

pffffffff

Some presets also seem broken with the signal being panned to one side, or barely any audible effect. The reverb is also weirdly quiet.
I'd love an Ohmforce OG version, with the same feature set and one-page interface, but for OBI it would be crucial to implement parameter linking or a settings matrix for faster programming of the 8 bands, cause right now it is tedious.
The copy paste things between bands is a FR that was waiting for popular demand to gain prominence on the list, so noted. That being said a good deal of the multiband control is often well dealt with Macros². But as someone who's done most of the presets I sure wish I had that copy paste ability too at times ^^

Re: reverb, pan, those are weird issues you're reporting. Panning to one side isn't the default value so that would be typically by design. In general those presets have been heavily tested by version issues on a late build is always easy to miss. What presets weren't working for you?

Please contact us by support. This is typically an issue for people who had the very first build installed at some point.

It's tested on Mac Intel and I just double checked the last build which works well here on Live. If you can be bothered to share your detail with us (support@...) maybe we can identity the thing you have on your end we don't have in our testing setup.

The presets I recall were Banana Answer (panned left) and Chorus-Flanger-Phaser (very little going on when tweaking the macros). The delays being panned to one side is actually the default value if you create a new preset.
Tbh I don't find the sound of the reverb useful or musical, too quiet and thin on subtle settings and too resonant and boxy with long decay time, and overall very dry and metallic. It's a shame cause the resonant filtered delay lines beg for a lush big reverb. Check out Dreadbox NYX 2 if you want to hear a lush mono reverb.

I really hope you will keep the one-page UI for the next version of Ohmicide. Tabbed and paged interfaces are workflow and inspiration killers. It's fine to hide modulation or advanced settings, but all essential controls should always be visible on the front panel.

Thx for the feedback, there's a problem indeed on those two presets (which are port of the Legacy ones). Will be fixed on 1.1.1 which is likely to be next week.

Got the good 'ol Waldorf Attack (again) this weekend and paired it with Infinity that went in my shopping bag right after demoing ...

That's mojo, man. Sick shit. Love it. Great stuff.

After playing around with the parameters... the result is pretty much the same as the Ohmboyz, Red_Force put me on the right track ;) I don't need Ohmboyz anymore^^

I tested it on this little idea... The sequence sound of Repro-5 has this LFO modulated filter on it
:phones: Infinity.mp3 (rough mix) :phones:

same here on Apple Silicon. sent all details/crash reports to support. hopefully they can figure it out. i've uninstalled it completely and deleted AU cache and rescanned everything more than once. no luck. don't really have time for all this but maybe will try again later in the week.

I got it to work on Silicon, but not on Intel. I’ll give it another shot on Intel soon.

I have a question for the preset browser…

Changing presets via the arrows or by choosing the Load button in the browser works as expected, but if doubling clicking to load a preset from the browser, there is an audible silence and sometimes a noise.

Is this a known problem? Expected behavior?
