Waldorf MicroWave as a plugin?

Black Friday is 2 months away. Based on how infrequently they run sales, it seems unlikely that they'll do another one before then.

So, when is this going to go on sale at a decent discount; will it be black Friday only, or do Waldorf tend to do other sales during the year?

Yeh, its bone of those synth I defiantly don't 'need' and have WT covered 100x over...but if the price was low enough

Wow Waldorf! My new all time fav synth plugin. Checks all my boxes. Amazing high res sound quality for a plugin. Width and depth of field from the speakers. Pleasing and musical to my ears for a synth plugin, I don't hear much dissonant pixely, blonky, CPU math. Has the voice signature of Waldorf. All that great sound in multi mode! Please move the envelope select buttons from bottom left to above or next to the dials for more efficient editing. Update the PPG with this sound quality.

For 'Murricans it's cheaper via Thomann currently than direct ($133 vs $165ish with currency conversion). Possibly even cheaper than the launch deal (which wasn't much of a discount), I can't remember.

Does the software fall under a different deal than the hardware? Thomann isn't allowed to sell Waldorf stuff to the US, per Korg's rules, which is why I haven't bought an M yet heh.

If you are in America the website won't even let you put hardware synths in the shopping cart

- Filter reaction time decreased for faster and snappier filter modulations.

- Modulation source "Controller WXYZ" mappings can be set to MIDI CCs.

It seems to me that with this release, the Waldord VST software division has finally got its brains together. This release is significantly better than all of them, this instrument is like no other. Interface, sound and everything. Plus they have beta, they fix bugs...as if someone finally said, look now is the time to make things properly, push Waldorf through the roof.

I imagine Blofeld will be next. Just because it is already software. Don't BS me with Largo because that one isn't Blofeld and yes I had both.

I would love to see this happen. I turned away a Quantum that was being delivered the day Quantum II was announced. I've since been priced out of that market. An Iridium VST that keeps parity with the advances in the hardware would be amazing. Korg is doing it with Wavestate, OpSix and ModWave. I doubt it will happen but I will keep hoping.

Waldorf going the software route as addition to their HW, opens the door for them alike Korg and Arturia and Roland for customers who just don’t have the space for more hardware anymore. They win regardless, as Software is getting better now and more people seem to want it more than the HW.
I think they should port every synth they have made if it’s technically possible.

I have demoed this extensively, it wasn't/isn't an in pulse purchase for me as I have so many great WT synths, but I have come to the conclusion it will be worth it for me in a sale- about £60-70 is sweet spot for 'don't need but want' stuff nowadays, so I guess it will be BF or never!
