There is something very appealing and intuitive about this synth. Every knob, every modulator has the expected impact on sound. Visual aid and cues are good. The glow for the high frequency oscillations is a nice touch as well.
The not so.many presets encourage exploring the sound design, and its a a lot of ...15 minutes packets of fun...
Too expensive though. :(
Will keep an eye on future discounts

Dear exacoustics, please kindly consider extending the length of the demo period; 15 mins is very short and below market average and please also consider an introductory sale period and or rent to own scheme, as $199, with no intro sale or indication/promise/history of promotions, is quite steep for a VST synth in 2024. As tone is often difficult to get across on a forum, please know that these are polite requests, not angry demands :)

edit: fixed typo

Guys, exacoustics is not present in this forum anymore. He’s got a website and a Discord chat. Take your complaints to him, unless you’re happy just sending them into the digital void.

They may still be checking back here on occasion, but if they are more active on Discord, I'll seek them out there, thanks for the heads up!

edit: there's no link to the Discord server on the website, so we can be forgiven for shouting into the digital void here I think

It seems to be only for beta testers. Could not find the link either, on his web site or here

I sent a polite and friendly (hopefully that's how it's received) message via the contact form on the website

If anybody is interested, there’s a 20% off coupon on Alex Reid’s video, which barely moved the synth out of the “ludicrously overpriced” price bracket for me.

This is like a dutch auction.
As much as I like it, it's a no no at this price.

I requested more relaxed demo conditions; I suggested the u-he model of basically full functionality with intermittent crackling and the dev seemed quite keen on the idea, so that's something!

Okay, so I bit the bullet and purchased Ghost... I hope it doesn't go the way of Camel Audio & LinPLug (and others that I cannot recall), as I paid full price for all their plugins too and am still extremely butt hurt I didn't download the Mac installers (that is, if they still work on a modern OS)... Either way, it looks like it's 2 minute noodles meals for the next couple weeks for me!

@ developer - Where does one find the change log?

I noticed there was a version jump since the demo I downloaded from 1.01 to 1.03... and for the love of God, work on making Ghost more CPU more efficient please!

Patch name: Aethereum Well nearly maxes out CPU on my iMac Pro using a 4 key chord (90+%!!!)... In fact, even after the update, quite a lot of the patches have massive CPU usage WTH???
Computer: Apple iMac Pro & UA Apollo
Hardware: Akai MPC-X, Roland D-05 & MKS--50 (Selling all of these if anyone is intetested)
Software: Bitwig Studio mostly and way too many plugins!

The developer is not active here, so I would advise using the contact form. Tré responded to me within 24 hours which is more than acceptable for a support request, especially as it was more of a critical feedback submission than actual support! I believe he is based in Australia, so be mindful of the time difference too.

Hi mate,

Yeah, I know he's based in BrisVegas - I am also located in Brisbane :)

Hence, I was trying for mate's rates, but I got onboard to support the development of this beast as I do believe Ghost does have massive potential and I try to support talented locals where I can... Although, I am still a little anxious about its longevity... Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the heads up!

PS - Old mate really needs to work on his marketing strategy. Straight up!
