However the Komplete 15 Comparison page suggests those 2 effects are not part of Komplete 15 Standard. Does this mean they aren't available in Guitar Rig 7 if you purchase Komplete 15 Standard? Alternatively, does this mean they are available, but only within Guitar Rig?
If it's Guitar Rig 7 Pro, those effects are included within Guitar Rig.

They are also available as standalone plugins, which are not included in Komplete 15 Standard. But they'll be available as modules in Guitar Rig Pro 7.

Cheers, much appreciated

[EDIT: Concealed Identity was first to answer already, didn't see it as the post seemed on the next page.]

They are available in Guitar Rig 7.
In the manual you can see what is available in there:

For Komplete 15 I don't know.

It's an OK iteration. Thought there would be a bit more crossover with Plugin Alliance and iZotope. Seems like the iZotope stuff is reserved for the subscription, and there's just one or two PA ones in there.

Has anyone noticed the new three vst effects from GR7 are not included in any Komplete 15 editions?

Are they really not going to show off any of the new Kontakt 8 stuff before they release it?

Meh. Kontakt 7 was only a couple years old. I get the impression the main reason they are offering for upgrading Komplete versions is simply to keep your Kontakt version updated. Pack in more libraries and put more weight on a smaller number of pillar products in the kompelation.

Maybe by Kontakt 10 we'll get full UI scaling, text and controls? I'll upgrade for that. I don't want more features, more complexity. Maybe they need to just upgrade Battery and have a 'light' sampler and let Kontakt be the kitchen sink app.

But, the longer I go, the more I wonder why I bother with them at all.

Yes, these are effects were initially started in Kontakt 6 (except Kolor which is based on algorithms from Iztope Trash). They weren’t created as seperate effects until now

It seems a lot of what NI is about now is 'repackaging'. GR was built on recycling NI fx in a simplified rack format, makes sense they will do the same with iZotope stuff. Its one of the reason I have stopped caring, I already own all this stuff, I don't need to buy it again with a facelift.

i wonder if the guys working there also changed/replaced people there, cannot imagine this being fun now working on sample packs mostly :D.

exactly about Kontakt, getting now each 2 years a new version with small additions and getting sluggish like GR6 etc. GR is still awesome, i still feel like they just update these to justify their komplete series.

We -as users- should make a wishlist of things that are really needed in a new version or update.

Companies always make new stuff, but I never have the idea they are listening to the end user about what they need, what's required ...
The NI's own forum/community is totally sleeping, nothing happens there.

For me personally (and a lot of others), a native Linux version should be made.
There's lots of Linux users using GR via Wine (a linux workaround), which makes it sluggish. A native Linux installer aside Windows and Mac should really be awesome.
Most prominent companies that take their customers serious do that. (Such as U-HE)

Some other FX that could be great for GR are:
- Acoustic Sim (to change the sound from electric guitar to acoustic guitar)
- Bass Sim (make your electric guitar sound like a bass, instead of the use of the Oktaver/Pitch fx because they really distort it with unwanted signals)
- Feedback FX, to generate a sound as if you were standing close to your amp.
- Sustainer, to make the last thing you're playing sound like on hold, on a natural way.

For me personally, these things are really missing in GR.

I just saw this today. Kind of lack luster upgrading Standard 14->15. Kontakt looks interesting but that's about it.

Love that they are offering iZotope Neutron 4 for free with pre order... a plugin I value a $0, and think is just ewaste in plugin form.

Na I'm good fam.

Having the number one sample library platform for independent developers (Kontakt), does seem to have made them a bit lazy. I think the fact that the "Reaktor Player" market didn't go much of anywhere for them has played a major role in their semi stagnation. Anyway, even if I just kept kontakt fully updated (which I will up until they do something extremely heinous or severely cripple backward compatibility) and grabbed the odd interesting library from NI, I wouldn't spend much more than I spend keeping complete up to date. All the extra stuff does come in handy in my work from time to time and also gives me plenty of raw material when making my own sounds.

I understand it's not for everyone, but Komplete plus a couple decent synths is still close to an all in one solution for making electronic music. If they didn't constantly discontinue things it would be even better.
