How similar is this to Lemon? That one sounds absolutely amazing but I hated the latency and sluggish loading (at least on my system).

A no latency version with similar end results would be wonderful

It's a cross-feedback delay.

Try a stereo signal with on the left channel a different instrument than on the right channel. For example a guitar on the left and a piano on the right. Then you'll hear the instruments swap channels.

Unfortunate. A delay that can't do basic ping pong isn't much use to me, unless it's a character delay like the 201 or something. But this doesn't really have character, for the most part. Besides a few of the models it has quite a clean sound.

Below is a quick comparison between this, Fruity Delay 3 and Valhalla Delay. Feedback set to about 14 seconds so you get to hear how the delay fades. Can anyone tell which is which?

Seems it just borrows the same used graphics as Lemon, but different sound, different product.

I’ll get around to trying it, but Lemon has a truly special sound. It’s just not easy to work with. If there is a Lemon 2 that speeds things up without losing the sound, I’d be extremely interested.

It's like a stripped version of the Lemon lite version. Sounds slightly different (also due the lack of eq/filters) but very good nonetheless.

Just like Lemon it can 'fatten' the og sound while remaining clear in a mix. And unlike Lemon you can automate it (even the feedback without having to worry about the dreaded 'chirps' in the feedback path).

I just replaced an instance of Lemon with FTD, but just because i wasn't using the filters and sat on that particular sound. Works very well in those cases. Not for the more tweaked stuff.

I'm pretty sure a big part of Lemon's unique sound is the rather flawed dynamic impulse response thing AA had going with the old technology. Tons of artifacts, smearing and a lot of pre-ring. This is exceptionally well suited for a delay and explains why it blends supremely well with the source signal.

So if they ever advance Lemon to newer tech, I'm pretty sure the sound will change accordingly, not necessary for the worse but just more towards what one would expect.
