Hi,

Just thought I'd call in and mention Andy (Sound Designer at The Synth factory) is again doing a youTube stream on Horizen 2.5, so you can check out in more detail how it sounds and if it fits with your workflow.

He's intending to do one of these (they are about 2 hours long) every Wednesday at 8pm UK time, they include tips, tricks, often a giveaway or prize, and he asks for preset suggestions and then builds it from the INIT preset on the stream. Last week I asked for "a vivid Horror sound, with a touch or romance and some slap-stick elements" but I think he knows I'm trying to wind him up so he ignores me....you may have better luck.

Has anybody, like I did, purchased HoriZEN 1.0 from TheSynthFactory ? Has your licence been transfered to Tracktion ?

I can’t get an answer either from TheSynthFactory (yeah, OP said the same) or from Tracktion on how to get this update and so get my licence back. I don’t even know if I could activate my "old" licence again, now that it belongs to Tracktion.

I emailed TheSynthFactory 20 days ago, and submitted a ticket to Tracktion 15 days ago. No answer yet.

For instance I had purchased Waverazor way before and my licence has been transfered to Tracktion automatically. But it didn’t happen with HoriZEN. I waited and waited and waited (OP posted on june the 5th !! I’ve been more than smooth !), but nothing happened. Now it’s getting boring. I bought a licence very early but it’s like it’s been forgotten and nobody seems to care. That’s a sad way of doing business. I love this synth and was in touch with the developer before. I received the 2.0 update. Then back to start.

I had no reply from TheSynthFactory regarding the 2.5 version of Horizen either. Perhaps their involvement with it is at an end.

I finally got in touch with Tracktion, but that’s all. My licence was transfered successfully. That’s what I wanted, for obvious possible activation issues.

and how does the Randomizer function? is it randomizing the existing presets or creating new one?

somehow there is not much coverage on it and Tracktion is just bad promoting their products and showcasing well.

i will demo it maybe soon.

Sorry missed this.. No, we are still very much involved with HoriZEN - V2.6 (free to all 2.X users) coming soon.

..and I missed this too, sorry. Our policy on upgrades is all upgrades within a major release are free to owners, so if you buy 1.0, you get 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. The move to new major release numbers , i.e 2.0 incurs a (hopefully small) upgrade fee. Just like Reaper if you are familiar with their upgrade policy...

In 2.6: The randomisation button opens the randomisations page where you can choose to randomise the controls of each sampler, synth or loop player

- sampler is voice random selection - either in category(tag) or any voice.

There is no granular in 2.6 - its on our road map - currently for 3.0 and will granularize any sampler voice content
