TB Audio makes nice stuff and this looks killer. Not sure I need another compressor, but the sidechain filter on this version looks boss... Not sure why you don't see this kind of visual EQ sidechain more often.

Update to V3.0.1:
- FIX: AU, broken AUval check
- UPDATE: manual
- UPDATE: small GUI fixes

This looks indeed great.

Although the market for allround compressors seems very saturated, there are many different workflows. I love the (more technical) GUIs done by TBProaudio and will definitely give this product a test run as it seems to make many other compressors obsolete. Two observations from the first 10 minutes of testing:

1. The preset library is great. I would like to have a "classics" folder added collecting basic settings to mimic an 1176, LA-2A etc. This might create doubles, but I think many users will go for it once it's there.

2. The purple colour is, well, special. It can easily be changed, however. I just wanted to point out the plugin is flexible in this regard --- as many are not, and you have to live with whatever the designer has chosen.

Furthermore, manual resizing might result in some strange behaviour, but I have to test further to confirm.

Thank you.

1) Category 'classics' is a good idea
2) Color scheme: different colors for comp types or placement in the production chain (track, bus, master)

In Reaper 7, when scaling the VST3 plugin via the corner, everything works as intended. When using a single edge, however, the plugin window just gets cropped which is a Reaper thing I guess. So plugin scaling works fine as far as I can see. It was just me :)

One more thought about the colours: These will be useful to differentiate several compressor uses / positions. However, could you please consider two more things?

1. Default colour. When inserting a new Impress3, the colour always reverts to purple. Is it possible to select a default colour for startup? I know this can be done by saving a custom default preset, so this might be unnecessary.

2. For me, the colouring is mainly an eye candy thing. However, it is a good idea to give them some meaning. Do you think an implementation makes sense where colour is changed automatically (e.g. per mode) or where the colour names can be changed (e.g. from "red" to "buss compressor")? I know this is some work to implement and will not please everyone, but it might come in handy.

Have a nice Sunday!

Right, you can save the default color with the default preset.
Interessting thoughts regarding GUI coloring. We will discuss this internally what we can do here.
Thank you!

I wasn’t planning on buying another compressor plugin-like ever again-but this is really nice. I think I’ll have to get it,but it’s crashing in Bitwig on Mac Sonoma ,hopefully this will be be fixed.
