You're already late th someone called lego hair few pages back.
What I absolutely most detest about Beato, well just after his whining about his monetisation and his whole lame boomer YouTuber shtick, is the blame casting game that aims at the listeners and musicians, his own audience, anyone but rarely if ever does that toad dare touch the holy cows of the music business.

His B-tier clickbait youtuber padawans are even worse. I LMAO every time I see an "IT'S OVER FOR VOCALISTS!" screed come up from one of them.gearwatcher wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 12:14 pm You're already late th someone called lego hair few pages back.

Missed this:
That is indeed much better, thank you for posting that.ghettosynth wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 7:33 pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ecm-ylA29X0
I'm pretty sure that she has more fans and follows than most of us, most likely more than the bottom 99% of KVR posters in terms of actually having a music career, if not all of us. Also, as much as I don't like the song above, I like it vastly more than about 99%, or more, of what I hear in the cafe.

I’d much rather see boomers and Xers calling out shit for being shit than see them pretending to be hip with the kids like a cool mom.vurt wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 11:13 amwhat does lego hair man say?jamcat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 10:30 am Rick posted this video 2 months ago:

I'm not defending the lyrics, per se. However, I do think that it's a bit disingenuous to point those out as representative of pop music in general or even as an example for the context in this thread.audiojunkie wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 1:42 pm Not even Rebecca Black?
<snipt lyrics>
Songwriters: Clarence Ranjith Jeyaretnam, Wilson Iteke Patrice
For non-commercial use only.
Now stop for a minute.... It took a TEAM to write those lyrics!
First, the lyrics weren't really written by a "team" AFAIK, the team just got credit:
Second, it strikes me that they didn't think much of the song but were just cranking them out to supply their fresh stream of revenue from giving young performers the chance to record a song and video. If you watch the other video that I posted Black talks about how it was a friend who did something similar with that production company that caused her to seek them out in the first place. If the producers thought this was a legitimate hit, why not shop it around to bigger stars rather than taking the chance that it would be buried in the noise of the internet?Friday co-writer Patrice Wilson, a co-founder of ARK Music Factory, explained that he "wrote the lyrics on a Thursday night going into a Friday. I was writing different songs all night and was like, 'Wow, I've been up a long time and it's Friday.' And I was like, wow, it is Friday!"
I don't think that there's anything particularly wrong with the concept of the song, per se. It's delivered in a very stilted style by Black. But songs don't have to be about deep serious topics. Is it weak, absolutely, but, if it weren't, it would have been forgotten.

Act 1: music is too easy to produce
Act 2: music is too easy to consume
I can't be arsed to make a full transcript. That takes me longer than you get over your allergy and just watch this rant. Watched it when it was fresh (I rarely watch anything on yt) and thought he had some good points.

If you go across 5 or so of his videos, plus other articles/video people have put out, it's a convincing case. But any single one video by Beato by itself is incomplete. There are other factors more important than anything he says in that one. But then ultimately, it's not like he wants to make one single comprehensive video on it. He has to keep putting new videos out to stay up high in the algorithm himself.
The youtube algorithm sucks by the way. If you try to search, instead of getting hits just off your search term, it will give a couple hits and then it just starts putting up previous videos you've watched that are completely unrelated. So I was looking up something about sound design and getting like 3 actually relevant hits all just using Vital or Serum. I instead went to google which took me to reddit which had comments that linked to some actually decent youtube videos. Once I watched those videos, if I then did a youtube search, it would now give me back the results I had just watched. This is obviously pretty stupid. The thinking is, let's give you hits based off what we know you like watching. Except you're purposely hiding relevant videos because I haven't yet ever watched them.

This is excellent feedback to send YouTube, because they are a Google company but you are getting much better results with vanilla Google search. I would love for YouTube to have better search.empphryio wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 2:15 am The youtube algorithm sucks by the way. If you have to spend 45 minutes watching youtube, going through irrelevant content, to find the info you wanted instead of 10, you may be annoyed but I'm sure youtube considers that a 100% win as they got you to spend much longer on youtube.

Maybe you just allow awful music to enter your consciousness. The universe of music is made up of a lot more than Drake's and Taylor Swift's or whatever Good Morning America tells you is currently conquering the world. It may require searching and also stop playing your old 80s and 90s greatest hits compilations.

I know that in advance. Which is exactly why I hate video content but prefer plain text whenever possible.
