Kick 2 KICK 3

Post

It’s great.

A substantial update.

It took me a minute but I much prefer the layout over Kick 2.

The effects are great.

Being able to isolate and tweak kicks from samples is super useful and also a lot of fun.

I would like to see velocity being able to control more parameters.

All in all though a fantastic update and a day one purchase for me.

I've watched the kick ninja video and well... sh!t it looks awesome too. Time to check them both and see which one feels better to use. Kick3 seems to be better for traditional stuff but the additional envelopes in Ninja certainly have some great potential to create new unheard stuff. But who am I fooling, I'll probably get both... and that may not even be a bad idea with both of them having wav export and "AI" import

Isn't Kick Ninja 59€?
Edit: Ok saw there's a 20% coupon which makes it €48

Use the code MAILNINJA but obviously buy Kick 3 also.

That's the spirit.

Kick 3, Audija kickdrum and psylab pro, tick all my boxes.
Next step: snare/clap plugins with similar workflow and options.

Have you tried dc snares?
I also wonder if kick3 and ninja can actually be used for it. Anyone tried to import a snare/clap?

What can velocity control so far?

I like the import resynthesis function, though results don't seem that close to the original.

Compressor really needs a wet/dry control imo, since it's a subtle tone-shaping tool, and messing around with multiple parameters is awkward.

It would be nice to have separate EQ for sub and click, though I can see this could make the UI too complex. But what made me immediately want separate EQs is that the sample import decided that there should be a fair amount of sub in the click.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

No I haven't, thanks for the suggestion.

You can have seperate eqs via the effects section and the SA76 compressor has a wet dry function.
