It's a solid effect as is, but I could see it becoming a real powerhouse with multiple modules to choose from ala Kilohearts style. I especially enjoy playing synths through it at night with it's big, flashy GUI. It looks slick, and sounds stellar!!

The new Time module is a cool addition to this strange, but very interesting multi-effect. I'm getting a lot of creative ideas with Beam. Making cinematic, one-shot samples is a dream. I sincerely hope they continue development and release more unique modules.

Is there something similar that is less CPU intensive?

You could build something similar inside Melda MXXX but convolution reverbs are always CPU intense, especially longer IRs, that's why Beam probably limits the size for IRs to 5MB, which I find a bit limiting.

Are you talking about between the segments in the Time node?
Some kind of crossfade would certainly be welcome.

This looks really interesting. I’d love to see it get an MIDI triggered envelope and/or envelope follower, but even as is, it seems very powerful.

This has replaced my Hologram Microcosm
and is easily the best UI imo.

Processing some electric guitar phrases from my Padshop expansion Granular Guitars with Lunacy Audio BEAM using a custom preset, tweaking the installed Macro and a few other things on the fly. This plugin could certainly use a nice distortion module and some more modulators.

I agree that distortion/waveshaping of some type would be a great addition. Even some kind of drive on the filter would be cool.
They did add the envelope follower at some point. It wasn't in the initial release but a few more modulation sources would be cool.

Beam is pretty nice! The UI is something that could easily have a failed experience but it's very successful as a visual and interactive tool. 16 modulator slots, please.

Nice. It reminds me of the old Kai Kraus Powertools for Photoshop but in audio form.Sampleconstruct wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2024 1:05 pm Processing some electric guitar phrases from my Padshop expansion Granular Guitars with Lunacy Audio BEAM using a custom preset, tweaking the installed Macro and a few other things on the fly. Bug report: saved presets don't appear in the Browser/User although I can see them in the user library /Application Support. The only workaround is to save them as AU Presets. This is on an M3 Macbook Pro MAC OS 14.7 in Logic. Anybody else?

Same here. Reported it to Lunacy Audio last week. They confirmed and said there would be a fix shortlySampleconstruct wrote: Sun Sep 29, 2024 11:14 am Bug report: saved presets don't appear in the Browser/User although I can see them in the user library /Application Support.
