The VST3s are being rejected by my DAWs for being 32-bit only. Very strange.

I was thinking they may be 32-bit. On Windows, VST3s typically have a filepath like this:careyletendre wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 2:20 am The VST3s are being rejected by my DAWs for being 32-bit only. Very strange.
Program Files/Common Files/VST3/PluginName.vst3/Contents/x86_64-win/
It's that last part, x86_64-win that I think indicates a 64-bit plugin, however with the few BRA plugins I tried the final part is x86-win. The only exception I found was VLA-3A. In the installation file there's two versions, 3.0.0-28 and 3.0.0-29. Version 28 works (and has the typical filepath), 29 doesn't. All other plugins I tried were 3.0.0-29. I really should send this to them...

Huh, they're not 64-bit? That's weird... VST3 is great, but 32-bit only is unusual today for sure and if they can't load into some DAWs that's trouble.

Strange. FYI I didn't get any notification, I just happened to look at the BR plugins and notice they're VST2 and wondered if they had a VST3 version.
In my case, I'm on a Mac, and the betas seem to be ARM VST3, which is good and current. They also don't show up in Bitwig if you search for Black Rooster, but they DO show up if you search by name (VLA et cetera).

The installer installs both versions to the default VST3 32-bit and 64-bit paths respectively. However, it seems that the 64-bit versions are getting blacklisted as 32-bit versions OR are simply failing VST3 validation.
This is just my working theory as to why they're not showing up.
The VST3 64-bit plugins are not being recognized here by Cubase 13, Studio One 6 but are working in FL Studio.

Did you search under BlackRooster? I noticed the vendor ID string changed from "Black Rooster" to "BlackRooster" for some reason.wintoid wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 7:07 am They also don't show up in Bitwig if you search for Black Rooster, but they DO show up if you search by name (VLA et cetera).
For me, all the beta plugins installed on Sonoma ARM, and appear to work in the DAWs I tested. Only issues I've encountered were the installers all reported an error on exit, but everything installed properly for me, so unclear what the error actually was. Also appears as if maybe the size and other customizations are being applied across all BRA plugins rather than individually - in other words, change the UI size in one change the size in all.
