Anyone using a bluetooth midi keyboard? Lookoing for one under 200.

Want no wires, going on a road trip, want things simple.

Has not anyone here on the site ventured in on a wireless Bluetooth midi keyboard?

I have tried various things, mostly with my iPad so far. Korg micro key air worked fine, and also my Roland e-piano. However, I eventually got an cme wireless midi adapter so I could choose whichever keyboard I wanted. The Korg ended up being too anemic, so I reverted back to my mpk mini plus which has just about the right amount of keys, knobs and pads for what I need. The CME stuff is really great.

Brilliant. Though I am confused, won't you still need to plug in your midi keyboard for the power, and which case why not just use the midi then. I would imagine a true wireless Bluetooth midi keyboard would also need to have a battery pack since it's not going to be connected to the laptop in any form, especially for power. It defeats the whole wireless paradigm agenda

The CME Xkey Air was pretty good. I used to play synths on my iPad with it. I seem to remember it had some issues with Windows, though, so perhaps not the best choice if you're using Windows, although I don't think the issues were insuperable.
