You can make a little space -- perceived a VERTICAL -- by boosting or cutting around 7khz a bit.ew wrote: I see your point,DT-but usually I'm just looking for a little more space.

Don't forget mda stereo!
Also, grab a bunch of ambience / early reflection / small space type impulses, and load them into SIR..
Even tiny amounts of this type of effect can work wonders.
Of course, for really powerful width control, you can't beat a mid-side eq..
..unless you have a mid-side dynamic eq !
Shameless I know..

Listened to "Reaching", the drums and bass are kinda mono faded and muffled.
Are these real instruments recorded with a mic?
If so drums are very hard to mic.
On the bass thou you should be able to do a much better job.
Just a little Stereo Phaser or Chorus would do wonders.
Also I am not sure why but the bass is washed in the background right now.
Why ? Did you kill it with reverb? Try no reverb at all for the bass, just chorus.
