I only use rift through current.worldfever wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 10:01 pm Rift seems to be the one most people like here. I do use current and i like some of the other minimal effects, so maybe i'll just install that![]()
But I like thermal very much and prefer it to others.
I use Saturn for mix and thermal for creative distortion.
For me it goes very well with movement and portal. 3 great creative FX imho.

Thermal is more of a multi effect (and it's great) but seems less wholly focused on distortion.
Coldfire is pretty cool but I've always found it sounding quite artificial/plasticky. Definitely has its uses though.
I think Rift would be my pick. It's more focused on distortion as the central theme. The bipolar aspect is pretty unique and the added FX really enhance it. I particularly like using the delay section as a resonator controlled by midi.
