Took me a sec to realize that you weren't talking about me. I mean, I am a fan of the B, but I don't think that is really causing anyone any concern.

Seems like this synth would be really amazing if you were an Octopus for all the knobs to twiddle at the same time

from the layout i'm guessing it's the Crave architecture reused? The high filter on that is just bad

I don't want to like it - things like an envelope with no release seems weird. And some obvs other limitations too numerous to mention. BUT.. but...but I can't help but like it. First hearing is - wow that packs a fkn huge amount of extremely usable shit into a tiny box that hits the sweet spot. And it looks like it's going to be on that real budget end of Behringer offerings that make it pocket money and silly not to get one. Crave was too limited and narrow to entice me, but Grind looks like a no-brainer. Normally I'd immediately ignore anything that's got wavetables in it but there's so much other stuff. The chord function thing in a tiny wee synth like Grind - wow! Even the VA waves are crowd pleasers - I'm assuming the PWSawtooth thing is akin to the AlphaJuno type waves?

Looks like huge fun.

I have two Behringer Brains in my main eurorack case or otherwise would pick it up. This is essentially one of those with a full synth engine. I have the Crave and the Edge. It is a great format. I thought I wouldn't like the CV on the top but in practice it doesn't get too annoying. I was happy to hear mention of the Spice as that will find a home here.

I want to see the B do something like this:

I'd be afraid to buy one of those used and it's definitely chunky. Behringer could bring the sound of Soviet Doom to the masses!

I thought they already did the polyvoks?

No, they didn't already did it, but they are in the process of doing it. No hints of ETA as yet but hopefully 2025? They apparently have the Soviet guy who made it involved with their emulation. For me it's instabuy, unheard, untouched, pretty well whatever price they throw on it. It could be rehashed in dayglo pink with green minikeys in 1 octave, they could even try and ruin it by putting in wavetables and I'd still buy it. TBH, a Polyvoks is way higher on my list than the Jupiter, possibly even than an OSCar, though sadly Behringer canned the OSCar idea years ago :(

I was confusing it with the Kobol
