how to make reggae sub-bass?

Hiya fellas, I was wondering how to make a proper reggae sub-bass like youtube.com/watch?v=JUA9QzEvHo4 if anyone would know please?

Robbie Shakespeare used a wah pedal heel down (all the way back). Bill Laswell used an auto wah/envelope follower. Rude Boy Shufflin' sounds like an auto wah to me.

The Yamaha PSS-680 FM synth used to do a decent job on sub bass with a little EQing. Shame it was so noisy (a high pitched background whine).

Came to recommend an SH-101 or emulator as well. For this era, it covers the bass(es).

in terms of performance, you might need to overdub the triplets into a duplicate of the main channel. so you can quantize both the common time notes and the triplets and have it all sound good.
