I used to read:
CMJ monthly
Keyboard
EQ
Mix
Sound On Sound
Computer Music
Future Music
Electronic Musician
Urb
Punk Planet
This is upsetting news to me.

Surprised it was still going up to now. Must admit I found it useful on occasion many, many years ago, but it doesn't take much personal development to go past the intended audience for something like FM. I remember it killing the odd hour of waiting around time in Airports as it was the only thing worth reading in the duty-free shops, rather than drinking myself stupid in the airport bar. Although if I'm honest I probably drank myself stupid in the airport bars while reading music mags...

I am looking at landr and it is pretty close to being a publication with new software and samples coming in. I would think that someone like cakewalk would want to buy computer music magazine it to add to their subscription service. I subscribe to computer magazine and landr and buy beat magazine (The English version of the German magazine) from time to time. I would think there are various sample services that would love to add that to their subscription.

Same happened to the "Keyboards" magazine many years ago. Similar story: they used pirated software for a review.
