A few months later Softube Releases Polivoks, Uhe Releases Polivoks, Synapse Audio Releases Polivoks and GForce Releases Polivoks.
Looking forward to try it out and see if Cherry Audio manages to give it the Ballsy powerfull sound that the Original had

The reason I think it's a Polivoks is because Atomika has the small circular logo attached straight after the name just like it.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 1:44 pm After viewing the Promo video again I wonder if it might be a Altair 231 since they named it Atomika and the video has a lot of air driven Visuals.

That is true and it could be me that is Reading to much into the Symbolism in the Video.davidka wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 1:55 pmThe reason I think it's a Polivoks is because Atomika has the small circular logo attached straight after the name just like it.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 1:44 pm After viewing the Promo video again I wonder if it might be a Altair 231 since they named it Atomika and the video has a lot of air driven Visuals.
The Altair does also have some interesting artwork on the back With a Globe looking thing.

The reason I think it is a Polivoks is because it sounds like one. Also it's a similar font and yeah, a similar logo.davidka wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 1:55 pmThe reason I think it's a Polivoks is because Atomika has the small circular logo attached straight after the name just like it.D-Fusion wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 1:44 pm After viewing the Promo video again I wonder if it might be a Altair 231 since they named it Atomika and the video has a lot of air driven Visuals.

I was on the verge of getting one just for the sake of owning it, despite my suboptimal experiences with old analogs.
As I read, Polivoks is especially a slot machine of problems. If Cherry gets this right, I'll be really happy.

I have a real polivoks.
Thing is built like a tank. (Could actually be built from a tank...)
It's a ridiculously dirty sounding thing. It always sounds like it's in a bad mood.
Will be interesting to compare because I can't imagine any synth company being brave enough to present it like it actually sounds.
