Robert,

Excellent job on both Smoke and Mirrors as well as Learning to See. Nice playing, song craft and production. Thanks for sharing.

Steve,

Beautiful job on the guitar piece "Seek Peace." I was starting to get an inferiority complex until I saw your stated profession in your profile. :)

I wrote a dark soundtrack-y orchestral piece called "Dark Vision" using SampleTank 2 and OmniSynth.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoyed it, your kind words are much appreciated :)

It's been interesting to listen to the different pieces posted here. I find it encouraging and inspiring to check out the varied uses you guys put SR/IK stuff to.

The feeling is quite mutual - I was listening to your tracks thinking how excellently musical your progressions are - very beautiful - please keep the great work coming and welcome to our modest thread. :)

Mostly Sonik Synth 2. I kinda hesitate to say it, because people might think this is what SS2 sounds like... but it's capable of so much more.

Drums are from SR's Eclectic Drums, and a couple of trons are from The Squids Tron Collection.

The whole thing was played from TWO instances of SampleTank2 - and both instances were FULL! That's 32 channels of sounds! :-o

Forever,

Kim.

Kim,

What a totally cool track, very original and interesting with tons of attitude, mysterious, then suddenly straight ahead - its like the city buildings are singing me a song! - nice job

Very origional! There was a lot of interesting things going on: The "choir" was really cool. The piano sounded good, and it sat in the mix well. I really liked the reversed sounds. Thanks for posting it.

Tia - A celestial celebration in three parts:

Movement one (4:29) - for filtered synthesiser and piano in compressed hall.

Movement two (5:35) - for string orchestra, orchestral percussion, and drum machines.

Movement three (4:40) - for spectrally-mobile string orchestra and solo violin.

This is dedicated to my closest friend of six and a half years, for her 23rd birthday next month.

Rendered using Sonik Synth 2 in the SampleTank2 engine.

Forever,

Kim.

Hey Kim this is classy stuff! Your friend must feel blessed to have this music dedicated to her. I particullarly like Movement one; the long reverb tails on the piano sounds sweet. Thanks for sharing your music :)

Well...since everyone's attention is focused on NAMM I thought I'd slip one in here. The only thing I can say in its defense is that it was done entirely with a midi guitar and I am still trying to learn how to do that better. (Godin LGX/SA into a Roland GR-1 into CUbase into ST2/SS2)

The mp3 seems a little bass heavy although the wav file isn't. Guess I have some more to learn about mp3 conversion, also.

It's called Magdalena and can be found at:
