When I drag and drop a wave file into my project, its possible to work on it with the vari audio feature.
But when I make Audio out of a midi part, to work on that audio with vari audio, that does not work.
Why?
Something I am doing wrong?
Thanks for your help.

I've not updated to cubase 13 but love always just used the export dialogue when I want something rendered to audio and then check the box to drop it on a new track. Vari audio works using those steps for me.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

If your audio is on the timeline all you have to do is double click it to bring up the editor. In the inspector on the left open the VariAudio section. At the very top of that section is an arrow button that says Edit VariAudio next to it. Click it and you can edit the pitches.

Has to be monophonic but beyond that it works with any type audio file, whether recorded or bounced. As mentioned above you jut need to enable it
