No one here has really been very helpful and said it strait out. Refills are simply libraries that contain samples and presets that can only be used in a program called reason. Don't mess with them.

ok, Refill is a format to store samples and patches for Reason, a soft studio. that's an old thing BTW.

The last time I checked, you get them for free at (\/)acDonalds. Hand in an empty softdrink cup and you get a refill.

I made a gold record. Several, actually.

Cost a fortune in spray paint, but the results were amazing! They didn't play worth shit afterwards, though.. glad I had CD versions.

Maybe I should make some gold CDs next? Will they hold spray paint?

Surely someone in this group has first hand experience. I have a friend with a RIAA gold record award (and a Grammy). He claims the record is not real (as in, not his group's record at all, and is just sprayed with gold leaf, not pressed into gold!)

Nowadays, I think they only award gold CD's. Take a close look and notice it's a data CD.

Yes, I have friends that were successful in the music biz, for all the good it does me.

Absolutely! It's the only way I'm ever going to get one, you know. My tunes suck so bad that you can feel the breeze from it halfway across the world!

I did not expect anyone to believe me. I have listened to what some of the people here call music that they have made.

I just got off the phone with and engineer friend of mine. He explained in two seconds what none of these people have been able to do in two days of joking around.

I think I should come here for entertainment but not to get any questions answered about music gear.

I have learned my lesson.
