After the opening chord the guitar lead is pretty much all thew way through...sounds like some sort of 60s guitar sound. Anyone know how to get that sound?

Sounds like a Les Paul played in the in between position through a 60's-style Fender amp, with the bass doubling the line an octave down. It could be a 12-string but the lower octave sounds slightly out of time with it, plus it doesn't have the jangly quality of a Rickenbacker or Fender XII.

Pickup selector in the middle, both pickups on.

Which model Ibanez do you have? Most can do it, might take a little tweaking.

Here are a few ways to do it:
You can attach an alligator clip to the two points on the 5-way switch where the neck and bridge pickup are connected
You can change the tone pot to a push/pull that adds the neck pickup to any position
You can change the tone pot to a concentric that adds a blend for the neck and bridge
If you choose to do either of those last two options, let me know which and I'll tell you how to do it.

Very believable. Would explain the slight lag I’m hearing on the lower octave.
OP, you can still wire your guitar to get believable Tele-in-the-middle-positions sound but it wouldn’t help you get the Rickenbacker part.
