I could care less about the Companies and more about that most of the People in that town is dead :(
A Company can relocate while Human life cannot be replaced.....

Post

Heard about some people from an unrelated company were forced to work, and in doing so lost their lives.

Everyone posting so far is concerned about the people.

Many of the people that work for the companies mentioned have interactions with some of us in different capacities. It’s a community.

Several of us have had or do have ties to the area. Even if it’s in passing, it’s not lost on anyone on how this can affect lives, including loss of life. If anything, the full scope of what happened might not be fully understood by everyone because of how severely disconnected the area is, as there’s issues with road access, power and communication lines.

I don’t think anyone posting here is not concerned about the people.

I have a few friends in Asheville. I heard from my buddy Tim over the weekend, he says he lives on a hill near where the Moog office is and so there was minimal damage to his house. He said he doesn't have running water at the moment but there are definitely people who were hit much worse. He said that most of the damage is closer to the river where there were a lot of retail/food service businesses, so places where a lot of the residents worked were destroyed. He said it's difficult to get around but he and his neighbors have been able to get supplies and help others get theirs.

As usual with these kinds of disasters, it seems like those who are least able to afford to rebuild after a catastrophe were hit hardest. Stories of people being forced to work at the cost of their lives are horrific but not surprising. We've been sending support and well wishes to the folks affected.

of course, as i said the rest of the population too.

that said, it wasnt so much "the company" itself as much as the folks who work there.

Going back on topic…

I ordered a 2nd Maths today.

I’ve been going through different patches shown in the Make Noise weekly videos and ran into a few tricks that were nice but they hog up Maths channels. One of them with STO going into Maths. It adds some serious grit.

I also found that STO & XPO with gate into fm makes my new favorite kick. My NE Tymp Legio love affair might be over now. Still a great sound/great module, but I wish there was a way to dynamically trigger the hits. That’s my only complaint.

It's not bad to use, but yeah, you would have to remember some button combos here and there.
It's not like playing Ninja Gaiden or anything though. :tu:

Disting EX and Eowave Supamix arrived today, here is the revised plan:

Added a Noise Engineering Sinc Pravus so that I can offset CV for example to boost a +5V clock into a +7V that the Enner needs to sinc. It can also be used as a mult.

Ordered a Pandora and a Bastl Crust.

Why not just get a B.Abacus?

Got a Push 3 standlalone off craigslist for 1250. 8)

Also picked up a Fender Telecaster. I've always been partial to humbuckers, but I finally realized one single coil guitar is a solid choice.

Was up until 3am last night exploring....
Crazy and awesome stuff this euro rack is, the Disting EX is a little frustrating, but it works as a simple reverb in small space and I also like the tape delay. The problem is it wants me to explore algorithms and then get lost in menues...
Should I get a Maths? I needed to use the Kobol Expander's LFO for the pan control because the wave on Pam is just positive. Love the Kobol, synth of the year for me.

I did think about it, since they were hovering at $59 and this on sale, was an extra $200, but I want to keep it all Make Noise. Everything is in the same place, no need to look or think twice.

I’ll consider it a premium/thank you for enjoying their crazy catalog of videos that are a big part of my modular diet.

Damn, that’s a great price! They’re finally fixing/adding features that should have been there on day one, so couldn’t be a better time a to buy Standalone.

Hopefully they’ll add some of the Move features into Push.

And congrats on the Tele.

I’m still lusting over that Raphael Saadiq Telecaster. I’m even considering swapping Pulsar-23 for it, but I’ll sleep on that idea for a while longer.

Yeah Macro editing is coming soon.
Honestly I think we all know what's needed in Push, a simple MPC2 level scene arranger to make a song, we don't need an arrangement page, not happening on standalone, but something to tie Scenes together to get a mock up, that isn't a hack like it is now. Plus tempo and time signatures per scene and globally. This way you could use the standalone to play a live set.
And congrats on the Tele.

I probably shouldn't look up that Tel, but yeah it's a decent MiM Tel in tobacco burst. I only in the last couple years bought a second electric, (a Gretsch Powerjet), went my whole life with just a Les Paul.

Yeah I regret looking that guitar up. For me, it’s perfect. So long as I can get a light one when I finally get one, I’ll be happy. The Les Paul I have has a heavy bottom (weight not color). Guitar strap is mandatory.
