Shame it's pretty much just a port of Ableton Note. If it had some Max4Live support it would have been more interesting to me.

Do you think it uses a Raspberry 4 as its internal?

It's kinda ok . Novation has Circuit Tracks that's seems similar . $449

Nope.

Yes, the Pi4 and Move are both using ARM processors, well done. In fact they're both using the same ARM processor architecture, the Cortex A-72.
That doesnt mean that the Move is using the same Broadcom chip as the Pi4, though, let alone that it is based on a Pi4 board. Economies of scale are against using a Pi4 board versus a custom board for a Snapdragon or similar.

Would have been a perfect little Ableton controller if it had mpe. 32 pads with mpe and 8 knobs. I’d have bought it, standalone or not.

Actually, I think I saw somewhere that Korg uses Pi4s in some of theirs synths, for compatibility and scale reasons. Pis are used in a wide range of industries, during Covid they even gave industrial clients priority.

Gotta admit, I thought I would dismiss this thing right away, but I'm actually pretty intrigued by it as a sketchpad for ideas that I could use on the couch, throw in my work bag for work breaks, etc. then port over to my desktop/laptop later on. I occasionally do this with my iPad, but I really prefer tactile knobs and a dedicated workflow and I like that it also works as a dedicated controller for Live. I'll need to see more info, but this might make a nice Christmas gift to myself.

Reminds me of the Roland MC-101 with a bunch of MC-101 limitations solved (form-factor, built in battery, sample recording size, lots of + velocity sensitive pads, better screen, less menu-divey), but with a lot of sound design/processing limitations. I'm going to hold on to the MC-101 in hopes Roland can get some ideas for an MK2.

I can workaround a lot of the limitations but no warp/time stretch is killing me. I still might cave eventually. We'll see.

Yeah. That's a dealbreaker for me. It's so not Live ...
