A new plugin from United Plugins (developed by Sound device digital) which is two Reverbs in one.
The selling point here is that the two reverbs can be split in different ways: Mid/Side, Loud/quiet, Left and Right or by frequency. Each split can have a different algorithm and reverb settings
Each reverb has its own modulation settings and they also can be ducked independently.
It's on intro price of 15 euro.

If this is based on the MTurboReverb Algorithm, it should indeed be pretty neat.

It seems to be a reverb version of their pluralis delay plugin.El°HYM wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2024 6:57 pm If this is based on the MTurboReverb Algorithm, it should indeed be pretty neat.
I think this is better.
I've been trying it our on various things with good results.
The frequency split mode is probably the most useful. You can have much shorter decay times on the low end while keeping the upper end longer.
The MS mode is also useful since you can just mute the left reverb and have only reverb on the sides.
The Left and Right mode is wild and works best when you have similar reverbs on both sides with slightly different setting.
The modulation can go pretty full on which is a good thing. With shorter decay times you can get chorusy effects and the ducking mode just adds more flexibility.
Each reverb also has a high and low pass filter.
Prpbaly a lot more in the sound design/Special effect world but it does have more practical uses.
Definitely worth 15 euro.

Well then, is their pluralis delay maybe based on MTurboDelay which is evenly powerful, yet also way more complicated to dial in. I believe both should make a good combo, as I also like pluralis a lot.

Then again we all already have a plethora of reverbs sitting in our plugin folders and unless I'm missing something frequency split can easily be recreated by two sends with pre-filters. So to me it comes down to "is the loudness mode actually useful" and "can the reverb algorithms keep up with vvv or other good reverbs".

+1, pretty much that for me too.Dr.Gunjah wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 10:05 am So to me it comes down to "is the loudness mode actually useful" and "can the reverb algorithms keep up with vvv or other good reverbs".
A loudness split is something i can see me taking advantage of.
not expecting too much vs. the "other good Reverbs" thing.
To create a smidge of just some underlying "Reverb" ( not Room ambience) with a smidge of some tail does not necessarily require to be a top notch reverb sound. imho
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

The point of plugins like this is to avoid things like having to set up multiple sends, filtering, channel splitting, MS decoding and gating/expansion.Dr.Gunjah wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 10:05 am Then again we all already have a plethora of reverbs sitting in our plugin folders and unless I'm missing something frequency split can easily be recreated by two sends with pre-filters. It's all possible within the one interface here.
For the amplitude based split there is a kind of crossfade between the louder and softer part. You se the basic threshold at which that happens.
The reverbs themselves sound fine. There's a choice of spring, room, plate, Hall, chamber and shimmer for the algos.
There are plenty of controls beyond that. Size, decay, predelay, gain, low and high damping, Low pass and high pass filtering, colour, panning, ducking with adjustable release and modulation with rate, depth and dispersion.
