Weird.
I loaded most of the SSL plugins... and they open/work.
A small handful don't.

Hello, I've just built a pc with a 9950x. I've heard the hot-fix fixes Slate trigger 2, which is the only ilok plugin essential to my workflow. could someone please reupload the hot-fix for me? thanks!

Unfortunately by the time I wiped windows to try it with 10 they had already pulled the download. You can Google iLoK 9950x forum and you will find some giant threads someone will probably send it to you if you post in em.

I wondered about that as well. If something seems simple but turns out not, then there are big obstacles we cannot see.

Speculation: it is a company divided into isolated silos. The coder that made the fix has no 'official' way to publish it. Another department does the website, but won't cooperate. Small change does not fit their goals. No process connects the two.

Not yet, though looks like iLok have updated the FAQ today - https://help.ilok.com/faq_ilm.html#amd_zen_5

AGESA ComboAM5 1.2.0.2A, the latest AMD AM5 Desktop SBIOS, is currently completing QA testing for stability and reliability, and is expected to appear in production BIOSes by early November. This update will enable PACE iLok Anti-Piracy software to run on AMD “Zen5” based processors.

Sounds like a bad idea to me. There will be plenty boards that don't get a new BIOS.

Well, on the bright side, if there is a fix in a new AMD BIOS we have a chance to finally learn what the supposed bug is.

Almost certainly is lowers the robustness of the actual copy protection, so they don't want it to spread too widely. Still a dick move.

see ilok just release v5.91 of the license manager - in the release notes they mention they now have a 'workaround' for the zen 5 issues :

Version 5.9.1:

Worked around stability issues with License Support running on AMD Zen 5 CPUs.
In iLok License Manager, fixed a typo on the final dialog when reporting a machine as unusable.
In iLok License Manager, fixed a bug where the Export CSV button would sometimes remain disabled for a view with licenses.
In iLok License Manager, Operation Error Summary dialog text is now legible in dark mode.

It doesn't work well, neural dsp plugins activate by don't show up in Ableton. Half my UAD plugins just crash Ableton with no crash log when I add them to a track. It seems all they have fixed since the hotfix is that the behavior of ILoK itself is less annoying. I just deregistered all my activations until a new agesa firmware is released as it will take flashing the bios. Rumor is that it will be fixed next agesa then I will be at the mercy of my motherboard manufacturer to release a new bios which sucks. Such a disaster.

iLoK is broken on all Ryzen 9000 series processors
