New to the forum, hello - looking for any tips for West African acoustic instrument samples/plugins - kora etc. Any advice/guidance appreciated, thanks!

I don't know if Battery 4 has them, but the older Battery 3 has a couple of kits made up of West African sounds.

Ben Aylon (One Man Tribe) has a variety of W. African percussion, some free (e.g. Thiol Drum). Rast Sound offers a free Kontakt kit - African Gyl II.

Also, don't overlook splice, or any of the other cloud sample sites, as a starting point. Type in e.g. Kora and see if they give you any results, and those might lead you to bigger libraries of material. For example ... https://splice.com/sounds/packs/sonic-c ... ra/samples ... the best thing is you can "sample" the individual samples in the packs.

Native Instruments has their Spotlight: West Africa sample library.

IDK if it's any good as I don't own it, and have no experience with the actual instruments.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Akai VIP = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Mainly West African drums and percussion – recommended.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!
